Thanks for the tip about Sainsbury's frames being reduced, finally got there tonight and got a few. Gives me an excuse to go through the finished drawer and see what I can frame :D

On to the last of the sorting of the ebay job lot. If anyone is into Barbara Baatz designs (angels and faeries) or dragons, please pm me as I have unused charts to send out for free.

I picked up another couple at the weekend from Sainbury's, they are good frames, just a pity they don't do some bigger sizes.

I got a few frames from Poundland today, including two square ones, which are more difficult to find.

Also, my mum turned up with these for me this morning when I met her (isn't she helpful lol):rotfl:so if you have a B&M near you they are only £1.99:money: They will be perfect for a new baby - a picture in the top half and baby details in the bottom half = cheap and fast baby present which still looks good.

Afternoon tea was LOVELY, although how they expect people to eat 4 cakes each at a sitting, after sandwiches is beyond me lol :rotfl: It was a nice treat, it's extremely rare that I have a wee glass of something sparkly in the afternoon :o

Oooh, those frames are nice. Guess I'm going to B&M tomorrow lunchtime now, and then home via Poundland in the retail park:rotfl:

4 cakes each  think I would have wanted to smuggle some home in a serviette :p

Louise. What lovely frames! I was wondering if you could tell me.....does the mount come out? I'm assuming it does, so if it does, could you please tell me the inside measurement? I'm hoping they might be a nice size for the CC slide piece that I am yet to frame.

    Thanks

  • shelly - good progress on 'sprinkle'.

Louise - afternoon tea sounded scrummy. Well deserved treat for you both. Love the frames from B & M btw.

maria - love fairy dust quilt square. Filofax looks pretty too.

pennib - thanks for comments re Art Deco Minis. Told hubby what you said - now he is struggling to get his head through the door :D. All joking aside though he does do quite a good job of them and I have warned him he is on standby ready to do Sleeping Beauty.

nmm - good progress with BD.

Made my mind up re the birthday cards I was wanting to stitch - going for 'age cards' with stripes and spots with bright colours which will make a change from all the white and nearly whites in SB. Quite easy to do - especially with one eye on tv for Olympics. :D

    Take care everyone

*cough* 50% off sale at HAED :money:

ETA. I bought three charts, total cost under £10 :D
I got QS Twilight Shimmer, also QS Wizard of Oz (though the large version is tempting too lol), and because I fancied something different I also got QS Seahorse, thought it would look awesome on some multi-coloured fabric :D

Hello all, back from holiday and a morning at the Olympics. Back down to Earth now with a bump. In the house on my own as hubby working away and son with his grandad in Dorset. Off to do some stitching shortly, although still very tired from holiday and might end up making mistakes.

I have read back on all I missed during the last couple of weeks and everyone seems as if they have been very busy. As normal I do have to comment how quickly Louise has completed things.

Louise - love all of your completed pictures. Also WOW on the progress of Earth. Thanks for the heads up on the frames at Sainsburys I have bought 4 today.

Maria - lovely cards. I really like the 5 design with the elephant.

Mrs MP - so sorry to hear the sad news about your neice losing her battle. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Chicky - sorry to hear about your other half, I can't add anything to what's already been said. Keep your chin up, virtual hugs sent your way.

BEG - your framed design is lovely and you are lucky to have a husband that can frame.

We went to Sri Lanka for our holiday (used a tax rebate I got from when I was made redundant). I now want to stitch some elephants for my son. I have looked on ebay and can only see designs of African elephants, the ones with the big ears. If anyone has anything or knows of designs, preferably mother and baby, of Asian elephants with the smaller ears I would be grateful.

Hope you've had a lovely time Ailsb.

Have got the stripey 3 done on my 30 age card and the 0 but haven't managed the spots or backstitching yet. Just got in from the gym and I am absolutely whacked so I think I will just stay plonked on the sofa and watch some tv. :D

It is a beautiful evening now after some torrential downpours this afternoon. Got Mums lawns strimmed and one strip with the lawnmower done before the heavens opened.
