oh bum i read thro , then got distracted...........then forgot what I wanted to comment (so will try again tomorrow when I'm a bit more awake).
Well I found the Red Arrow chart that nykied kindly;) me over a year ago.
Unfortunatly it wouldn't quite fit how I wanted (no background - using sky blue marble aida).
So instead I found this picture
Tried pic2pat.com but it was too bitty.
Tried using cyberstitchers (which I have just discovered) to chart it and it was going to be to complex.
So in the end I downloaded graph paper from cyberstitchers. Copied and pasted it into paint.
And charted it freehand (or should that be freemouse?)
The end result
Was going to make a start but not sure my eyes will stay open so just gonna sort threads, mark out the aida.
Hopefully it'll be a quick stitch.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Chicky - red arrows should look great on the blue marble fabric. Looking forward to seeing your update pic.
I don't think I'm dreaming but the christmas word has started to appear

FOS. Nice progress on your Angel Stocking. The gold flecks in the thread are a nice touch for a xmas design.
Sweetcarer. Hope you have a nice holiday.
Nmm. RM roses are coming along nicely.
BEG. Love the Art Deco minis, really nice.
FE. Thanks for the Bird table pic (was me asked for it) I really like it. Agree with Nmm about the bird species.
As for me. Not started my new design yet. Was out shopping for much longer than expected yesterday so couldn't be bothered when we got home.
Looked everywhere for my new obsession.....the blimmin erasable highlighter pens
When I asked in Staples where I could find them instore I was told they are sold singly online only  My own fault I guess for assuming that if it's online it will be instore.
Couldn't find them anywhere else in town, plenty of the frixion rollerball pens but no highlighters so I'm going to order them online today.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Just a quick note - Sleeping Beauty has just arrived :j:j. Will let you know what I think when I get a chance to check her over.
OMG - the amount of threads

Hey all, I posted on here before, and I've started adding photos of my (gradually) developing HUGE cross stitch of the Great Wall of China, to my blog, here: http://www.50ayear.com/the-hobbies/
It's coming on (about a month in now) and I'm loving it!0 -
JCS1 - chart arrived today thank you ever so much! My mum held it up to the webcam for me to see on Skype so that is spurring me on to finish the black labrador cushion as I promised myself I would crack on with finishing this first (and a little scissor keep for my mum who's got back into patchwork and spends more time looking for her snips than sewing!) before I start on something else!
Husband packed off for 2 days this morning at 5am (almost back to fully fit), just in time for me to realise that we have visitors coming on Wednesday for 10 days and I had got my dates well and truly mixed up (thought they were coming in 2 weeks time for some reason) and for BabyF to decide that she shouldn't stick to her routine in the slightest! I am now running around like a headless chicken trying to clear out the spare room (otherwise regarded as the dumping ground) for the guests and get the rest of the flat looking like I am on top of things.
I've done a little on the dog each night but does anyone else find that progress seems to be tantalisingly out of reach as you approach the end of a project? I think fairies come and unpick stitches in the night!
...and in answer to the Q about starting stitching and where I stitch, I got interested in it when I was about 11 [in the late 80s] or so with a tiny little house sampler which was free on the front of a magazine (after my first foray into cross stitch as a tiddler aged 8 at school when I sewed through a piece of binca onto my pinafore skirt...!). I had a bit of a break when I was at uni, then picked it up again - stopped when we were renovating our house (taking 4 years longer than planned), then found it all hiding in a corner of the loft when we were packing up to come here. My favourite spot is usually at one end of the sofa so I can use an arm for support and balancing things on so everything is in easy reach. MrF knows to keep clear when things are spread out!
Loved reading everyone else's answers and can't wait to see how all the projects continue. Such a wide variety between Red Arrows, Sleeping Beauty and the World with everything in between!
Have a good week everyone
MrsF and BabyF0
