Now I have seen it all!

Googling wolf images for lancs lady and came across this http://www.thisisloveforever.com/2010/07/way-of-roses.html
Cross stitching onto a car door!!
No idea why it came up in the results but it did. Not sure what I think of it, would you have to declare it to your insurer as a modification?!? :D

I know seen it before.. Quite amazing. Wouldn't the car be more at risk of rusting etc (with the holes) :p

Right girls, I need help deciding what fabric to stitch the Eagle and Flag on to.
I'm gonna put in a layaway order at Cross Stitch Heaven and whilst I waited until I had practiced dyeing my own fabrics and had more colours, I thought I would buy a few hand dyed ones to add to my stash, but I can't decide which one would look the best with the eagle.

    Pic of Eagle here.

Now which of these fabrics works the best?

Mercedes - I think this one is my fave.
Aerial - I like this one too!
Dwarf - A bit too dull?
    Glacier - Too green?
Haven - I like this one also.
Stellar - A bit too bright?
Zephyr - Again a bit too bright I think.

I think it's between Mercedes, Aerial and Haven.

I like Zephyr and Mercedes (safe choice imo). Agree with other comments you made but think zephyr makes a nice contrast to the blue in design. Find Aerial too dull. Haven is nice too.

    Oh dear, not much help...sorry!

Btw, any tips/site links re: dying own fabric, just got a lot of 18ct aida and thinking of trying diff colours for bookmarks etc.

Never tried before though and not sure where to start. Feel free to pm me. Cheers

    Yup, quite possible.

is it more face on or to the side like this?

P.s can stop whenever you want. I like searching things... wiles away hours. lol

Thanks ladies for all your help.

I think from what I can remember, the wolves were either white or brown and they were sat at the bottom left. I'm sure they were facing a lake, or could have been over a cliff I just can't remember! There was then a Wolves face in the sky to the top right, think it was pure white looking down at them. The background was definitely blue.

I have completed the survey - thanks for posting the link (have forgotton who it was!)

The weekend is creeping ever closer. (yay) although feel sad today as this time last week - was enjoying myself on my hols and I think I was (at this precise moment last week) was sitting in a pub garden in the sun! enjoying a nice pub lunch.

I always come back to work and feel I haven't made the most of my holiday ? yet I don't think we could have done anymore than we did and holidays are meant to be relaxing - not going all out?

Think I will try and get some stitching in this evening although have Line of Duty to watch so not sure.

My goal for this month was to get the top half of the eagle finished.....

Just 2820 more stitches to go! (Most of those are half cross stitches too!).

Was gonna post an update pic a couple of days ago but thought I would wait until the top half was done :T
