Thank you Maria for the charts :A- it was very generous of you to do this and I really appreciate it. However you forgot to add the extra time into the envelope so that I can stitch them all soon :rotfl:0

I hve been catching up with recent posts and the ones about selling cross stitching were very interesting. Some fascinating links -I don't know what to make of that huge Chinese picture. On the one hand I can admire the effort and achievement but on the other hand what is it for? So few people would have the space and money even if they liked the design. Perhaps a hotel or restaurant with a Chinese theme?
As for selling my own work, while I would not stitch with the intention of selling as I don't believe it would be worthwhile I can think of various situations where I might want to sell e.g. needing the money, downsizing so not having the space to display as many stitched pictures, falling out of love with a design and so on. And if some of the sales are unwanted gifts or inheritance then I think it's better that the work is sold than thrown away.0 -
Sorry flowerofscotland I will send that separately lol13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

Hi all been MIA for a few days, took 3 days off from stitching to play my expansion pack for my favourite game ever (The Sims 3).
Anyways I got an email saying the Michael Powell range now available for card makers.
Just a small collection available here, (scroll down a little), but pretty sure there is more available else where.
Not sure if this range is new or what but I haven't seen his stuff for card makers before!
Two updates from me today.
Thank you all for the comments re. the FF bear and I think you were all right as you couldn't tell at all where I had replaced threads, so as promised, here he is finished as a card
(Not 100% happy with the sticker letters, but it's all I had that matched, I think it's because they aren't all the same size lol).
And this week I finished off what I could on the reddish-brown of the Dalek.
Last update (03/03/12) - 43 hours 35 minutes total worth of stitching:
This update (14/03/12) - 72 hours 25 minutes total worth of stitching:
I said I would rotate after I had done as much as possible with the reddish-brown without having to move the hoop, so now I am back on the 'White Lightning' tiger.

Soulie The Michael Powell card bits look very interesting. Love the way your card has turned out.0

Soulie - I think the card looks adorable
And I admire your determination to only stitch with one colour until you completed the area you had - I woudl have got way too bored and cracked on with the Dalek :rotfl:

Soulie - your card looks good and the dalek is coming along great. I agree with Louise I would have kept going to see what the dalek looked like.
TellmeitsFriday - have fun tomorrow. I normally take cash with me that I've saved before hand and once that's once I stop spending. Well that's the idea - it doesn't always work. The show in November I took £100 with me and spent less than £25. I went on my own and did quite a few drop in sessions and had a great time. Looking forward to hearing what you end up buying.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
