catwoman and Louise - Thanks, I know I'm strange, but I look at half cross stitch and think 'hmm, looks like I didn't put enough effort in!' :rotfl: I wouldn't go back and restitch the other half on top, as that would mean the cross on top would be going the wrong way to the rest of the piece. I think I have slightly OCD tendencies, but that would really bug me :o

Flat Eric - I love that pin cushion, it's so sweet!

Hope everyone's having a good day, it's lovely and warm and sunny here. It's the first time this year the kids have been out playing on the trampoline. Only downside is that its been too nice to sit and do stitching!!

love all the photos posted everyones work is so inspiring
i love the african sunset as it is, as Louise said if you did the sky in full X stitches you would risk loosing some of the depth in the picture
havent stitched since i finished gorguss in the new year - that seems ages ago must give myself a kick up the jacksy and get on with some mothers day cards or something

  • Just had to say KatyLiz - love African Sunset. The colours are stunning. I think I would stay with the half stitches as some of the other ladies have said I think it gives depth and texture to the overall picture. Can't wait to see your next update - no pressure ;)

    Take care everyone
