Have been browsing ebay (dangerous!) I like this which I know isn't cross stitch but I think its sweet
It looks like Bird Brain designs is an american company (I have not heard of them) but the design is also available from an australian ebay seller. Trouble is, I know I would never get it as neat as the finished item in the picture !
Oh and I'm cross, while browsing for cross stitch scissor keeps on ebay, spotted one I liked, only to find it was a "chart only" :mad:0 -
I do like your chick kitty veryy sweet (but i can see it looks kinda alien - like a row or 2 has maybe been missed out?)
hmmm..... wondering if our facebook page needs a seperate branch of: crossstitchcafe for sale and wanted so we can all (well those with accounts) sell our wares without ebay fees or risking breaking mse rules??
may draw in some new members too??
will set it up when i get home.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Loads of great updates, everyone seems to be making loads of progress. b_e_g - I particularly like the finished tulips, looks great now it's framed.
I've searched facebook for the cross stitch cafe in the past and never been able to find it, so it's good to know how to get to itSetting up the different bits sounds like a good idea Chicky.
I would love to have been able to go to the stitchy show but it's a month too early for me. If it was in April I'd have been there with my birthday money, but I have don't any spare pennies at all at the moment. The washing machine has decided to flood the kitchen floor this morning, so I can see a big expense coming up thereIt's nearly 9 years old so I shouldn't be too surprised that's it coming to the end of its usefulness, but I really needed it to last for one more year!
On the stitchy front I've been sewing In The Meadow for an hour every evening, but I'm making sure I try to do a little bit on African Sunset too so that it doesn't get forgotten. Here's photos:

I really hate half stitches, so I'm tempted to unpick the sky and do full cross stitches, but I'll wait and see if I can be bothered when it's finished!

katyliz lovely pictures. I wouldnt unpick the half stitches, If you want to do the sky in a full cross stitch, just do the other half stitch over the top. ( If you see what I mean )

LOVING African Sunset - gorgeous colours:T
Why do you hate half stitch? It's half the work, twice the speed lol. :rotfl:
As catwoman says, just do another stitch across the top if you need it to be full stitches but I really think you would lose the depth of the piece.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Heres Tulip Fields finished and framed - just waiting to be hung on the kitchen wall - its quite a dark red so it should look ok.
I've started the cat in a tea cup kit (free with mag recently) just to keep my fingers occupied.
Will catch up with all your posts properly later.

Looks stunning and the white frame against a dark wall will look really stylish0 -
