  • Thanks Skoobie but I want that exact background design :o

After chatting to someone quite close to me I have decided to go for it. It may take a few months to finish so I can save some pennies while stitching which should cover the frame. Will decide once its framed if it will live on the wall I want it too, if not I will find somewhere else. Firstly I have to finish London :T

PAP - I think the design on that background will look lovely. I know it's going to be quite large but it's not over the top so I think you should go for it, take your time and enjoy stitching it. As far as framing goes you don't need to frame it straight away so you could always ask for it to be framed as a present for Christmas, Birthday etc.

  • hello everyone

may i join in please :) starting to get back into cross stitching, i used to several years ago but havent done any for a long time :)

im currently stitching small easter pieces (from cross stitch crazy magazine, 162) and have started with a chick.... ive followed the chick exactly but tbh its starting to look like a disfigured alien :/ im hoping once i get the stitching around it, it will be more like a chick :)

also i am going to do the word " Easter" with the patterns they have on here, except in different colours (pastel yellow, pink, blues and greens:) )

im going to do the small easter eggs in a marble effect (i cant remember what its called, its thread thats all different shades, creates a lovely effect) i have a blue thread which im hoping will look nice

also have some beads :) as i want to do some embroidered hearts on my pillowcases :)

anyways hope i can join in ... i guess you'd call me a beginner :) you all have some beautiful pieces !! they are amazing, have enjoyed reading through the thread and seeing peoples pictures :)

    xx

Can anyone help please? I am looking for the ragdoll alphabet from WOCS 176 I think it it. I wanted to stitch it for my daughters bedroom but somehow that particular issue has sprung legs and found a very good hiding place??

    Regards

Hi all - just trying to catch up with the last couple of days posting

Seems to be a lot of questions and tips - think they have all been answered so no point in me repeating lol

b_e_g - those tulips are gorgeous, and it looks fantastic all framed :T

pap - I looked at the pic of your fabric and didn't think it looked all that big...then I read about the penny!!:rotfl:That is certainly going to keep you busy all year, yikes.

kitty - welcome to the thread :j

I have just been quietly working away on my fairy, I'm nearly halfway through it now, taking a progress pic every day (don't worry I won't post them all!):rotfl:

Kitty - welcome, as you can see we all love to see each others progress so all photos gratefully received. I'm sure once the backstitch is done the chick will look good. The Easter egg with the variation thread is a good idea. I have a few which I din't know what to do with might think about this one.

Brednall - I can't help with this magazine but I'm sure someone will be along shortly that can help out.

Maria - how do I become a friend on the facebook page - don't know how to find it so any link gratefully received.

TellmeitsFriday - I wont be at the London one but going to the show at the end of March at the NEC if anyone is interested in saying hello.

If you haven't already found it there's a link to the fb page in post 1 of this thread :)
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
