We did well today made £57 at carboot, Miss Hoodie put her share into the phone fund, shes been told she has to pay back the credit used. lesson learned.
Nice and gave dad £10, and brought a stool for the kitchen for £2, knocked him down from £5.
Have £40 more for lapland, but still have a boot full of stuff!!

Fun and games 2ngt - did a nice ambulanceman, my mother tried to posion me (only joking), had an allergy attack to a cherry pie, bless her she couldn't watch me jab myself, but have to say nearly back to normal!! just have lovely rosie cheeks. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all :j
Well done at the boot fair mum2one :T
There's one at our local school next sunday so I'm hoping it doesn't get rained off like the last one did.

dundeedoll - think I'll be doing some sock jam this year...........I did it for a couple of people last year so there are folk who've not had it......yet ! Think it'll suit the teenage girls next door and there's a brilliant sock stall on our market on Thursdays. Mustn't let OH throw any jars away. So far the only one he's kept is a little mustard jar and I've not a clue what to do with that.............lol

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well done on the bootfair Mum2one and finding the meerkat sweets.

I finished making a coat for myself today, need to get some photos done of the things I have been making and get them on my blog.

Out at the hospital tomorrow with my Dad as he is having a colon xray. Means an early start, being picked up at 7.15.

Been on my diet a week now lol, proud of myself so far. Treated myself to some scampi and oven chips for tea tonight. Only had a little portion of each and had some salad with them.

Goodness you'd think they didn't want the business! RE the church hall, that's what we did for our wedding reception and it worked out really well, so if this 3rd pub can't come up trumps might be worth considering.

Ours had lots of parking, good loos, plenty of coat hanging space (the three essentials I look at before even considering booking somewhere for a work event).
We got in external caterers and did the table decorations ourselves. Had the added advantage that it was in walking distance from the church (which doesn't have parking) so people parked there, walked up to the church, walked back again. It also meant children were fine running around (and in our case there was a children's playing area back of the carpark so parents took it in turns to supervise smalls run off steam)
    I know you'll sort and it'll be fab :T
That sounds brilliant, I did our church hall, as its attached to the church, its the original church, and its at the top of our road, own kitchen, car park, good loos, - £20 per hour, - but sods law they have a standing order every Sat lunh time for the lace club, it would mean coming out of chrch hanging around for an hr before we could get it. Would have been brilliant, - still waiting for the 3rd pub to ask for a depoist, then i can breath sigh of relief.

Decided against the yankee candles as have to get 2 (tight wad!!), so have hit half cost, and gone for pack of 6 tealights, 2 packs for £1 - ordered 30 packs, - that way all the ladies can have a 6 pack candle, then raided my supply - Miss hoodie is now helping decorate clothes pegs with jewels, got some small notepads - ladies gifts 65p each.... gents may go bottle of mini whisky, see if there cheap offers about, - sounds daft getting organised early, but start OU again in Aug, and then going away to Lapland b4 xmas, all madness. xx
