    Hello all :j
Getting me garden kneeler/stool tomorrow...neighbours daughter is collecting it. Could have done with it today. The weathers been so nice and OH's been doing a bit in the garden..........best I could manage was moving 3 plants that had outgrown their space and put them somewhere else. Be typical.......tomorrow I get the stool.........tomorrow rain forecast.

susan -well done with the weight loss :T

Hope they get the meerkat sweets in tescos..........neighbours daughter loves the advert and it would make a novel little pressie for her. Have to check their web site

    Hope you're all ok:)

Susan well done on the weight loss. I have decided to take a leaf out of your book and go on a diet myself. I started on Monday, just cutting down on what I eat really. I have found a free website where I can put in what I have eaten and it works everything out for me as to how many calories I have had etc. I have put in my goal to lose three stones before my Sons wedding next year. It worked it out on the site that if I can lose 1lb a week I should get there by February. I am hoping I might be able to do more than 1lb a week but it will be tough going as I have an underactive thyroid and I find it hard to shift the weight. I have asked OH to do it with me, not sure if he will or not, he is more inclined to go on a quick diet by eating cereal for lunch and losing it quick but then he puts it back on again just as quickly.

My sister texted me yesterday to see if I want her cutting tool thing, can't think of the name of it at the moment but its one where you put the dies in and then pull down the lever. She said it will cut fabric so I am hoping it will as I have wanted one for years.

I don't mind the knitting, its the sewing up I hate.

i've done one kids jumper so far for xmas, just finished a kids aran scarf, just got another 3 to do!! keeping me out of trouble.

Good news:T:T:T:T:T:T:T the stair lift is fitted on Tuesday, - we had a letter 2day saying company A had got the contract, but apparenlty the Occupational tharapist went mad, and said they'd taken the cheaper option, she wanted the other contractor, he was dearer, but was doing more work, so they agreed with her, bloke rang comin on Tuesday. Big relief. expect dads got to do some painting on Saturday!! mums told him he has to paint the hall stairs and landing! xx

    Hello all :j
Got my kneeler stool and what do ya know......rain stopped play !:( Not the most comfy of stools but it'll do for me. Haven't tried the kneeling bit yet.........daren't at the minute in case I get stuck.............lol
OH not too good. He's got a Hiatus hernia and the consultant said he's reluctant to operate as it could cause more problems than he has. He's got quite a swelling on his stomach now so is seeing gp on Friday and see what he says. It's almost a year since he went in and all this first started so he's worried witless about going through it all (or worse) again. Must admit, I'm not relishing the thought. Still, must be positive. Maybe there's something else they can do.
Sorted out some craft bits for the charity shop that I know I'll never use. Clear out a few more tomorrow I think as forecast is more rain !

mum2one -glad the stair lifts sorted out

    Hope you're all ok:)

mum2one - well done on the stairlift and sorting a sim card out for miss hoodie :T

Mary - suppose to be brightening up, but SIT on the stool, no kneeling.;) Hope it goes ok with OH know what hes been through and to start it off again:eek:, think positive

rufus - I got the underactive thyroid thingy, was told by consultant to stop messing with my weight as its throwing my thyroxine levels out. But theres no way I`m just going to keep putting on weight its killing my back. So I have one doctor saying it`ll help losing weight , another saying stay the same. One doc saying exercise, another saying dont you dare. So decided, executive discision, I`ll do my own thing!!! Good luck with yours, a little at a time does help, I think but my mate whos 70 odd just done a week diet, lose a stone in a week, she lost 11lb:eek::eek:.

    I made these for her
