    Hello all:j

    Welcome to all newcomers..........

mum2one - think I'll stick my head in a bucket of sand regards challenge at the minute............nigh on impossible to do anything til decorations come down and get put in the endless empty boxes that are currently round my feet as I sit here :(
Been sorting out our insurance as well......swintons, cash back.........sounds good to me so I've gone with it anyway. Hope I've done the right thing. Not one for deciding things like change.

elysia - you gone bonkers ????? I can't even think about things like that yet............might do when the xmas cards come down and start getting 'recycled'

Hate this 'in between' time till its all over so been doing nothing in particular...........bit of cross stitch (primitive type patterns), finished knitting my hat and its too big  Bless if I'm going to bother to do another one.............found a grey one for 50p in charity shop so that'll do................lol

OH just come home from shopping...........he just made it in between showers...........still better than the snow and ice of last year.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone, finally caught up after my initial post when this thread started.

Mum2one, good thing I didn't pm you just before Xmas because I found a really unusual VW gift. What a shame Miss Hoodie had that reaction.

Hello to the new members, you'll have fun on here.

JJ and the lady with flu, sorry I can't remember who, hugs to you both

I've got to finish DS's collage envelopes as it's his birthday this month, luckily I had made the Xmas and half the birthday ones well in advance.

    Afternoon all

I got some wrapping paper and some special cards, not sure if it will be enough paper for next year but if they still have some left on Monday I might get some more in. I run out of money today. I wanted to get some boxed cards for me and for my Dad too and didnt get them either. I did buy myself some nice clothes in New Look with a voucher I had.

We have had a good sort out this afternoon, got some of the Christmas bits back up in the loft and got the table set for tomorrow. Also cooked all the veg and mash and got the roast potatoes ready to boil up tomorrow.

More new ones joining the thread, lovely to have you all on here xx

    Xmas Saver!
I dropped the last set of Christmas presents last night and the chutneys and jams went down very well along with the granola. Also the mini gardening hamper was also a hit with the seeds, trug and propogator. Not sure how the bath salts went down but I did get a nice thank you for giving the thoughtful presents.

No big EPIC birthdays for me next year, just need to think about mum's birthday and Mother's Day then a rest for a few months until brother's birthday in the summer.

Thinking about getting mum some clothes if I can find some in the sale? Otherwise some spending money for her holiday and a little hamper of handcream and maybe a cheap fruit tree as she really liked the one I got her for Christmas. In fact, just remembered she loves blueberries. There we go then, a blueberry plant!

the blueberry plant sounds lovely, sorry to be cheeky, but have you got the recipie for the granola, sounds fab. xx

Hi everyone - Well yesterday I had 35 rolls of wrapping paper, some ribbon and tag sets and two boxes of crackers. Organised or what? The driver thought they were late presents too and he was joking with DD that 'I'm always at your house'. Cheeky wotsit - he should be grateful I'm keeping him in a job.:rotfl:

Got to be cheek, but where do you get it all from, been good haven't been on halfcost yet! xx

Hello everyone, hope you don't mind if I join in, I read but didn't post before, and now I'd like to get properly organised for next year. I made hampers for everyone this year and they went down a treat, but the challenge will be to put different things in I think, apart from the ricciarelli which everyone raved about. I shall be makings chutneys etc a bit earlier, but sadly I can only cook not knit or anything like that so there's a limit to how much I can do in advance, plus we have a catering business so need all the freezer space we've got (which is a lot!). Anyway, hopefully I'm here for the duration, and looking forward to hearing all your great ideas.
