    Hi there.

Beans on toast is great. Just buttered toast with heated baked beans in tomato sauce poured over the top. With a glass of orange juice it's a perfect meal believe it or not!

A good way to liven up beans on toast is to:

Chop a small onion and cook till soft in a little oil in a saucepan.
Stir in the baked beans and a little curry powder.
Add a big dollop of mango chutney, a handful of sultanas and a sprinkling (optional) of chopped almonds.
Heat through thoroughly (about 5 minutes) then serve on thick buttered granary toast.

Also known as Boston Baked Beans! :D

Or you could just heat through baked beans and stir in some good old brown sauce...(HP Sauce)...yummy!

    Good in an emergency.

Just wanted to say hi. Haven't caught up with your diary for a while. My mum's always said I should allow about £25 a week to feed myself and this is well fed! You could cut it down to £20 or £15 a week I suppose but you do need to make sure you eat sensibly. Note: this does not include the coffees -they should be your fun money spending. Saving money is not as important as eating healthily. When you spend money on food (sensibly) you are making an investment in yourself. Please make sure you eat or you might not make it to your DF date and be able to enjoy yourself. You have done amazingly well but I think the rate you are going at is unsustainable. Please cut yourself a bit of slack and don't be so hard on yourself.
    All the best

Also with the beans on toast idea you can have chilli beans on toast or curry beans on toast (just add a bit of spice to them!)

    Hello!

Many thanks to you all for food tips (I am making the beans today!) and posting books tips, I will do that as well!

    Just a very quick update:

Today is the purim party. am a bit down that I am not going but thats £42 saved. Oh well, next year.

Yesterday I got £15 froma friend who owed me. Yay I already forgot about it.

Today I used one of my pret vouchers to eat lunch, total spent today on food: £0!!!

Although I went shopping I was really sensible, but I needed a new skirt and a new cardigan. Cardigan was £5.99 and skirt £7.99, I think this is very very goood.

now am very tired so will chill out a bit.

Oh on ebay I have 6 dvds and none will sell yet even and only 4 days left, I am kind of panicking...

I couldnt sell the sony ericcson phone to my friends so will have to put on ebay.. I dont want to pay big fees :(

thanks again for writing to me its always so nice to come and find that somebody was here :)

ps: pret cheque hasnt cleared yet but Im not worried, surely it will.

Don't worry about the DVDs just yet, 4 days is still a long way to go.

You must prepare yourself for the fact that not everything always sells on EBAY though hon.

And you mustn't let it get you down if they don't all sell. We all have things that surprise us by not being bought but hey that's part of being an EBAY seller I'm afraid. ;)

Yes of course the Pret cheque will clear...so again, don't worry. But you said you weren't so that's good.

Finally, the Sony phone.....well, it's a shame about the EBAY fees but...it'll all still be more money for you and another feedback star won't it?

I sold some camera equipment this year which I was gutted to have to pay fees on but they weren't as bad as I thought they would be and, after all, EBAY is a business, they will take their cut!

We just have to remember, without it (EBAY) we'd have made zero.

I know it's still annoying though but....not much choice really.

I hope you are OK and aren't too low about not going to the Purim party. Your decision was made for all the right reasons though and it's extra money to throw at debt so you can enjoy it more next year when you are DEBT FREE! Which I am sure you will be.

Enjoy your weekend doing whatever you do as an alternative hon.

    xx

    Hiya LA!!

Yeah I know that not everything sells, some of the dvds I relisted..
I should ahve done more but I forgot what else I have upstairs, and a bit down because of the party..... I dont want to pay fees if my items dont sell, thats not fair, oh well..

thanks for the advice about the phone. I dont know what duration would be the best, should I do 3 days? I will put it on tomorrow I think, or maybe right now if someone could give me reasonable advice - I saw this selling on ebay for like £120, what should I put as reserve price?

I will go to the purim lunch tomorrow (£10) and the megila reading so that makes me feel better and we might sing and clap and have fun...

hope you are having a nice weekend!!! :)

I always put items for the longest amount possible, simply because the longer they're on there, the more bigs you're likely to get :) you can put a reserve price so it doesn't go for under a certain amount :)
