Miggy – I tried pasta and its lovely, lovely and cheap, but then again, its so unhealthy that I am afraid to eat it all the time, I don’t want tog et fat… but anyway, its lovely, esp with tomato sauce  and its below £1!!!
Hi there, I hope you feel a bit more cheerful now? We all get down days, just hang on and it'll get better, the sun will shine again (that's what we keep telling each other at work where it's all rainy and soooo many people have just had a pay cut :-((( )
Oh dear, I was trying to cheer you up but it doesn't sound like it! I think you're being too hard on yourself and trying to be superwoman WRT the spending.
Pasta doesn't have to be unhealthy - there is always wholemeal (Tesco wholemeal spagetti is quite cheap and can be used instead of other pastas, after all they're all pasta, so why pay more for fancy shapes?) I agree some of the sauces are treats only, far too fatty for everyday, but if you fry up a chopped onion, stir in some tinned tomatoes and a pinch of herbs, you have a basic pasta sauce. You can add all sorts if you want - peppers, sausage, salt & pepper, olives, cooked chicken or meat (so long as you reheat it thoroughly) etc.
BTW, the meal I challenged you to last week was just beans on wholemeal toast! It has to be wholemeal to make up the whole protein along with the beans - they each have part of the ingredients of protein. There are lots of other foods that go together to make protein too - or you can get it the simple way in meat/fish/poultry/dairy, but that often costs more.
Well, it's late and I'd better get to bed - catch up with you later.

    Hello!!!

thats a good idea, thank you! what sort of price do they pay for books?

I need to find out where to find some, especially because if I move in the autumn, I cant bring them all with me (sad, sad...) :)

My books are always in a very very good condition, they are sacred for me, so they usually look like brand new...

    WRT - With Regard To!

Yay! Am happy, but need to start the job first to see if I'm going to like it. Used to being in an office on my own, but this one's quite large and busy so not sure! Temping for 1 week then I have to make my mind up! Going to need the pay rise - just been quoted £189 for a filling I need! ouch!

Home making lasagne for dinner tonight and sorting out all my junk!
