Hi all, first post, but I have always loved reading everyones comments on this forum, very entertaining. I have gotten many bargains in previous Boots 75% sales, and really dont want to miss this one. However I live 45 miles from my main big Boots store, and so finding out when the sale is on saves me a wasted journey on a long 90mile round trip, not very money saving to go all that way this week for it not to be on, only to have to go next week too, so any info on whether its this week or next is greatly appreciated:T:T

Wasn't the sale put back a week because of the snow the last 2 years though?

That would make the original dates the 13th/12th which means I'm putting my wonga on tomorrow!

as I remember it, 2 years ago they changed their usual timing and put it back a week, the reason being bandied about on here (far from official) was that they hadn't sold enough at 50% off due to not many people venturing out during the bad weather, so the expected date of 13th Jan was put back to 20th.

Last year I don't even remember there being any snow after the new year, so I don't think it was that reason then. As is the case right now, last year there was much speculation about when it would be - lots of people "heard" it was to be the 12th but when the 12th dawned, there was nothing, and it in fact didn't happen till the 19th for reasons best known to Boots.

That's why I'm still kind of thinking this year's will be the 18th, though I'm really hoping I'm wrong and that it's tomorrow!

I had a nice surprise from Boots today. As you may have read previously my main Boots order went missing and 2 items were missing from another order.

This afternoon I had an email come through on my iPhone and in addition to the £25 worth of points they gave me for the missing parcel last week they have also compensated me with a further 1000 points and 25% off my next online order between the 11th January and the 24th for the missing items!!! The items missing weren't even worth £10, they were only the photo pens!!

I didn't expect either amounts but have to say I'm very grateful at how they have handled the issues. Whilst I was annoyed I didn't get my order and the things I wanted it as in turn resulted in me gaining from the whole experience and it's rare this kind of outcome is achieved with other companies, you normally get your refund and that's your lot.

I will take them up on their 25% online deal (especially if the 75% sale goes online), however if the 75% doesn't appear online or the code doesn't work with sale items I will still order our everyday toiletries and then collect my 4173 of pending points add them to the 10946 I already have on my card and get some bits from the 75% sale in store using my points. I doubt there'll still be a £150 worth of sale stuff i'll actually want but will be nice to know what I do manage to get will be free!!!

Dont know if you have an asda near you ,but all of ours are selling the same photo pens, frames ,keyrings etc as boots but they are all only £1 ,might be worth a try :j

Haha! Well you better not oversleep this year as you now have everyone relying on you to confirm if the 75% sale is on in the morning. Set your alarm for 7am :)

Here's my dilemma. I have no one else to look after my little girl in the morning, & I don't drive. So to be there for when our local store opens would mean getting a bus at 7.45am with a grumpy 18month old in a Pushchair.
    Doesn't it sound like fun?

On the up side if it is on I can use the pushchair as a battering ram and clear the aisles of other shoppers as I go!

I will probably check the forum first thing in the morning, and if it looks like it's on I will be at the bus stop.

I can just imagine everyone queueing up at 7am in the morning waiting for Boots to open (to find the sales are still at 50% off) and the look of the SA's faces as they open the stores wondering why there are so many customers.
