Boots 75% off sale starts this Wednesday instore. A friend works in there and made sure my mum and I didn't buy anything from there today because they're reducing them on Wednesday.

I know 'a friend' isn't reliable enough for some of you but thought I'd share anyway :)
  • i thought it would be next Wednesday but i will take a trip to my bigger store anyway as online last yr was a total nightmare.

Boots sale always been a wed roughly the third on in Jan, the only time I can mind them bringing it foreard was due to the snow fall not last year but the year before. I think it may be the 18th but as per usual we will be left guessing lol x

I was thinking it would be 18th as well, as it has been 3rd Weds in Jan for the past two years. Prior to that for at least 5 years, it was always round the second week in Jan. It was in 2010 that they moved it BACK due to the bad weather, not to help us in any way but simply cos they thought they hadn't shifted enough stock at 50% off due to people not venturing out!
Last year it was nothing to do with the snow, as that had gone by then, but they just kept the start date the same as the previous year as it seemed to suit them better. That was why I was thinking it would be likewise this year, however if it is to take place tomorrow I will be delighted as it is better for me to get there than next week, and also all the guessing and asking is now starting to do my head in somewhat!!! :rotfl:

It is the same every year with the boots sale, I just dont understand why they dont announce it. I had the 18th in my head but will speak to a friend later today who works there, I will also call the store, girls are normally quite good and tell you over the phone. Our store is well stocked so to some there are plenty bargins, I have been to the boots sale for the last 6 years and always stocked up, not impressed by this year and feel some of the stuff is over priced even at 75% off. However I will go down lol.. get pushed about and buy I pile of stuff and stash it away in my goodie boxes lol..

oooooooo HOPING it is tomorrow as will be out and about and will TRY and avoid looking today @ Oxford Street!!

Will be in Coventry tomorrow - Does anyone know if there is a good / large store there & is it on the High Street? ( I don't even know if the High Street is anywhere near the bus / coach station as just venturing out on a day trip with the 50p Megabus deal! lol )

And staying in Tune hotel tonight from the 2p deal :j:j

( And lookin to spend my points from the Living Social Boots deal ) :rotfl:

Got hardly any money , literally , but looks to be a cheap day trip / hotel stay and will pop into Body Shop to spend my LYB Birthday £5 & get my free lip balm from the e-mail they sent me & have a free Groupon for waffles and ice cream & a £10 Ping Pong dim sum giftcard to use for dinner tomorrow!!!

We might even pop into Revolutions on the way home for a free cocktail :rotfl::rotfl:

( My bf says everyone else pays for things with cash and I pay for everything with vouchers! lol ) xx
  • Will it start at 9am or when the individual store opens?
    Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£25
