Boots 1/2 Price Sale

I popped into the Doncaster, Wheatley Hall Boots at lunchtime today. They had loads of the Liberty Hello Kitty range, Sanctuary gift boxes and smaller No7 makeup bags. At least 2 aisles of gifts and no gaps.

:mad:I was still waiting for my first boots order (but the last to arrive) so emailed Yodel yesterday to ask why the status hasn't changed, received a reply from them this morning to say they still haven't collected it and to contact boots. I called Boots and the girl i spoke with was very apologetic and said she would look into the whereabouts of my order and someone would call me back with an update.

About 10 minutes ago a lovely lad called me back to say my order appears to have gone missing after it was despatched from their warehouse, it never reached the appropriate Yodel distribution centre. Too say I'm cheesed off is an understatement as this order had all the S&G bits I wanted as well as FCUK sets, Ted Baker and a few other bits and pieces. I had 15 items in total in this order.

The CSA was very apologetic and couldn't believe that a parcel the size that mine would have been could just vanish and suspects something dodgy, according to him they have quite a few complaints of the same nature and added that Managers have been advised because it hasn't been a one off.

With this order completely missing and 2 items missing from one of my other orders I told the CSA that I'd be reluctant to order large amounts online again whilst they use Yodel as their courier. He couldn't blame me. I was given £25 worth of advantage points which was nice and a refund but I want my S&G, I hope whoever has it, it brings them out in a nasty rash! Lol

Does anyone know when things start being reduced to 75% off? There is still lots left at my local, was in there today.

Some are guessing at the 18th, I'm personally guessing the 11th but TBH it is all just a bit of fun because no-one knows. The Boots website is down at the moment and is dues back online tomorrow but that sounds too early for me for them to go 75%.

The website has been down since 2nd Jan for an overhaul - apparently nothing to do with the sale, just improving the site in general which let's face it, it was in urgent need of!

I really hope the 75% is next week but the fact it's been later in Jan the past couple of years leads me to think it will be the same this year too. They really want to try and shift as much stock at 50% as they can, and God bless them they don't seem to realise we've all twigged that they slash the prices again and are holding off for that!! :rotfl:

My Christmas eve order was at the store today, I went in on the off chance as I never get the 'ready for collection' email or text any more.

It was due for collection on the 6th

Just got back from Bluewater never seen soooo much stock, the lower level floor was almost all filled with sale items.

Got starbucks cups set for £8.25, James Brown shopper with 4 hair products £10 when priced individually it would have been £24...

Champneys, Hello Kitty, Sanctuary, No7, Fearne, Starbucks to name just a few.....

Just messaged my cousin who works in our local boots she has informed me it will be next Wednesday 11th :-)
