Really disappointed with YODEL delivery. I have waited in all day for my Boots delivery as it showed the parcel was out for delivery at 8:13am. I have tracked it every few hours and now it has been updated: No one to receive card left 15:30pm

I have waited in all day especially for this delivery and no one has attempted to deliver my parcel or left a card. This is the first time I have been let down by Yodel. I have just called Customer Services and was told it will now be delivered tomorrow so now I have to wait in another day! I wish I had opted for store collection.

    How annoying! :(
I had a similar experience before Christmas (nothing to do with Boots but equally annoying).... was waiting for vouchers to be delivered to do Christmas shopping - after several cockups with wrong addresses etc they claimed to have left a card on Wed 21st although I was in all day and nobody knocked!!! They then assured me I was booked in for delivery on Fri 23rd, sat in all day didn't dare leave the house but nothing came and when I rang up to query in the afternoon, they said it was due to a shortage of drivers!! What a waste of a day! So I understand your frustration!
  • The Boots website seems to be down - wonder if it's the start of the 75%??? Also, was in Bromley store today and they still had loads of stock - especially the FCUK handbag set that was on many shelves & 2 huge dumpbins! HTH someone : )

Still tons left in Southend on Sea. I overheard 2 sales assistants talking about being unable to put new stock out because they were so many shelves still being taken up with the sale stuff.
I was hoping they would mention something about the 75% off sale but they didn't say anything.:(
I've got my eye on a No7 hatbox, if they do have a 75% off sale then i shall be getting one.:D:D

Hi, thanks for this info. I have been ill so not managed any sale shopping yet and thought it would all the best bits would have gone by now - still may find a bargain after all then!:)
  • Anyone else got stupidly cheap philips shavers? Got a HS8420 for £20 in one branch (£70 on amazon), and 3 HS8460 outfits (£80 on amazon) for £17.50 each! (the bottle of cream costs £7). They also had a Braun series 3 for £25.

Old stock or someone going bonkers mental with a pricing gun?
    Out on blue six..

Boots is offline for planned maintenence 2-6 Jan. Hopefully this means the system is in for an overhaul and shouldn't have so many problems at sale times.

They must think we have nothing better to do than wait in for a delivery that is not going to get delivered. Shortly after I called customer services last night, I got a text from Boots saying sorry we missed you and gave me the drivers number. I text the drivers number asking for it to be delivered and told him that there had been no attempted delivery or card left. He replied this morning saying sorry he has not tried to deliver my parcel as he has been on holiday until today.

I have tracked my parcel again but it has not been updated to show its out for delivery so not holding on to much hope of it being delivered today. I can't even arrange a delivery without the number on the calling card as its an automated service

This is a warning for anyone ordering from Boots and hoping to receive the parcels in time for Birthdays etc, the best choice would be to opt for store collection. I have never had a problem with Yodel before (although I have seen a lot of customer complaints about Yodel) but this experience has put me off ordering for home delivery.

My order has finally been delivered after phoning customer services and being passed to several different numbers.

I asked the driver if it was him who I had text last night and this morning regarding my parcel, his face was blank. I said his name. He said yes and went on to say he was on holiday and only returned today so apparently wasnt him that should have delivered my parcel but kept appologising.

I asked what depot the parcel was collected from as I have one close by but the other depot it was showing at yesterday is 20 miles away. He said it was at his house, they dropped off parcels for him this morning. For some reason I think he was the one who supposed to have delivered the parcel yesterday as surely the drivers collect the parcels from the depot not have them all stored in their house before an attempted delivery!

I had the same problem with Yodel. I kept tracking my parcel and was updated stating with courier out for delivery. No parcel arrived.
The following morning tracked the parcel again still no update so I rang customer service, they said it should have been delivered the previous day and would send an email to the depot and they would reprimand the courier. That afternoon parcel arrived, I question the driver about delivery the previous day, he said I only collected the parcel this morning and asked how I knew it should have been delivered the previous day. I told him I had been tracking it online he was speechless and looked as guilty as they come

I had my Christmas Eve order ready to collect from store last Saturday. Had ordered the Clinique gift set at half price but didn't think to check the skin type!! D'oh ordered the wrong one skin type 3/4 instead of 2. Anyway thought I would pull a crafty (as they never showed the type 2 in the sale) and rang my nearest Boots said it was a gift and could I swap it for the Type 2 set they said no problem what a result!!
  • Finally had an email to say my Christmas Eve order has been despatched, ready for store collection this Friday :)
