Can't believe how much stock there is left at Boots this year! Been to 6 stores and all of them are heaving with stock and nobody seems to be buying! Popped in one today and it was like Christmas never happened they had loads of S&G tins, Philosophy gift sets etc, stacked up - Loads of perfume and aftershave giftsets and people were just walking past it all!
Roll on the 75% off sale its gonna be a good one!!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21
June: £43.15/July: £51.22/August: £90.60/September: £29.75/October: £284.07/November: £171.08/December: £29.220 -
Picked up my order today from my local store. Have ruthlessly culled items I'd managed to get instore and a few bits that weren't as good as they looked online. I think a lot of the gifts are so totally over priced so they can get rid of more in the 3 for 2 that the 50% off takes them to a fair price. 75% would be even better but I can never get to a shop when that one kicks off.
I'd over-ordered a few bits too simply because the website kept crashing. Off to return them to store tomorrow evening <gulp> .Being good, being good....some nice stuff to go back, even S&G, and Sanctuary stuff. I can't even use as gifts this year, everyone I know is so stacked up on the stuff.
Couldn't bring myself to take the extra Champneys stuff back, it's just toooo nice!
Lakeside Boots still has TONS of sale stuff. Nice stuff too, not just tut.
Not many perfume sets.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Our online shop is temporary closed, but our stores are still open
Boots.com is improving services & the webite will be unavailable until 6th January 20120 -
Didn't they do the same thing with the online site last year before the 75% sale went live??? :T0

They closed the website for a few hours on a Wednesday morning before the 75%. I think it's because they are redesigning the website rather than anything overly interesting but time will tell. It doesn't seem that they are overly concerned about shifting sale stock if they can afford to close the website for a week.Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
Bristol Broadmead had loads of stock left yesterday. I didn't pick anything up in the hopes they'll do a 75%. I work in the Centre so can stop in at 8am when they open on the day if it's the case.
Fingers crossed eh?

Nope, this thing with the site being down a few days is different, an overhaul rather than sale prep. Every year before the sale, in fact every night in the wee hours, the site goes down for a bit to update.0 -
Maybe this is why there is so much stuff left in the stores, because they've cleared out the warehouses to re do the website??Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!

I don't think they had to clear the warehouses to redo the website. The stores are full of stuff because it's overpriced, and lots of people are spending less.0 -
is anyone still waiting on orders placed on morning of 24th? I have an order due to be delivered to store by 5 Jan which as of yesterday still showed as 'processing' - worried because an order placed later that day for home delivery was dispatched a week ago....
thanks xx0
