Just back from the Royals Southend store. There was only me and two other women waiting when the doors opened.

Staff were really helpful directing people to where there was more sale stock and bringing the baskets wth wheels over to people. They also allowed you to put baskets behind the till if they were full. Great staff!:D

    Managed to get loads.

    Sanctuary stuff
    No7 hatbox
    No7 bath set
    No7 makeup
    Gadget bits
    Cars Monopoly
    Lego
    Vtech bathtime fun
    No7 mens set
    Slippers
    Slippersocks
    Cranberry bits
    Fisher Price blocks
    Set of 3 hooks
    Thomas the tank bath bits
    Umberto hair stuff

Only slight disapppointment is that i managed to pick up a No7 hatbox that has the mascara, lipgloss and one brush missing. Still i am not going to grumble too much.

I am off to meet a friend at Lakeside today too (already planned before the sale dates) so i might have a nosey round Boots there to.

I dont understand why people say how much they saved - the items were never sold at RRP. They've been 50% off for weeks which im guessing the items werent even worth that if they didnt sell.

I can't get to boots until my lunch break, which will be promptly at 12! I am expecting tumble weed but it is only a small Harpenden store so maybe everyone is blissfuly unaware?!

Just got back from Harpenden. Very civilised when I got there at 9:00. Managed to get a few bits but by the time I left at 9:10 there was a woman going back and forth from the till with arm fulls!! There were loads of s&g tins though. Hope you manage to get some bits

I went to Speke store at 9am but on seeing the scrum in there I turned round and came right out again, it was a nightmare!!! It's never been like that before in all the years I've shopped this sale :(
Word has obviously spread far and wide this year, as there were at least 300 people in there as opposed to the usual 10-20 at 9am, and they were going mental with trolleys piled high. I'm not so desperate for gift sets that I'll tackle that kind of crowd! Bit disappointed but as others have said, perhaps my family may be glad not to get Boots gift sets AGAIN this year?!?!?! :)

Big store in Speke was chaotic at 9am - absolutely LOADS of stock though if you are brave enough to face the crowds. I didn't bother getting anything for the first time ever :(

Thanks for the updates, I went before work this morning to Bradford and got a few bits to put away for pressies etc. Sadly no mens or childrens bits tho. People had bags full but all friendly, staff not so friendly was told 'oh there will be nothing left for us at break time'. Spent £50 and also used a £5 off £20 spend too! Thanks Again :-)

  • just got back from my local store which was still marked at 50 per cent off ..one of the staff said it wasnt on but i asked for an item to be scanned and indeed it was 75 per cent off:j
the nicer lady assistant in the store was gutted as they werent even told and the staff arent allowed to put stuff away so she couldnt even tip off her friend who asked when it was on. felt sorry for her as it must be hard watching everyone grab stuff and you cant even get one..plus they had to re-lable it all:(

i got a no 7 make up stripy case for me:)
a sanctury case to put away
    5 mini fragrance sets
2 little carousel round box sets? to put away
and a lipsy case thing to put away too for next xmas.

a few other ladys were there trying to play it cool but they were jumping for joy when i came back from till and told them it was definately 75 per cent off:p:rotfl:
one lady had baskets full so bet she got all her xmas shopping done!

i spent £51 in total but tried to get what i wanted, (i did want another no 7 case for my mom but felt bad getting two when others might want one so didnt, i saw others grabbing a few though:o
