  • Just got back from Watford Harlequin, which opened at 8am. There was me and a few others waiting outside for it to open. I'd been in there yesterday so knew roughly what I wanted and where it all was, ended up spending £78.75 and got a lot of presents for through the year, and some stuff to put up for Xmas.

It started to get quite busy while I was in there, there was one guy with literally bags and bags of stuff, which must have been destined for eBay! The staff were still bringing out cages of stock although they were the not so desired brands like 'cute or what'.

I'm going to sit and have a cuppa and relax or a while before I start my late shift at work now!

Just been to boots Sauchiehall Street Glasgow and there was loads of stuff. The assistants were keeping putting out more stuff on the shelves as they were clearing. Managed to get as much as I could carry.

There were loads of people in too, so I would imagine youd have to be quick to get anything decent there.

  • Oh and just a heads up if anybody buys any Joules gift sets - most of them seem to have vouchers in for £10 off a £50 spend on joules clothing online or in store - these expire on 31st march this year in case you are planning on using them for Xmas 2012 presents!

  • Quite pleased, only about 8 people waiting this morning, was very civilised. To be honest there was mostly tat and there were a few with the big trolleys filling it up with all the could find but I feel very proud I was very reserved. I picked up a large starbucks set (very pleased as you couldn't even get them at 50% last year) the large sanctuary box down to £12.50 from £50 (will have a happy mum on her bday), a s&g tin set for whoever, a tiger adoption pack, dora toothbrush for dd and a lasagne baking set (which will be replaced with fresh pasta later down the line) Spent £35 in gift card/points and got £3 points back :) really don't think it was worth £140 to begin with though but happy enough with the price paidd. When I got to the car I considered going back for more, then realised I had best be recycling the Boots gifts I received this year to others as they wont be used.

I still have loads of Boots points to spend so unless the 90% (if it happens is good) then I am already sorted for next years 75% off sale (if they have one) lol

  • I can't get to boots until my lunch break, which will be promptly at 12! I am expecting tumble weed but it is only a small Harpenden store so maybe everyone is blissfuly unaware?!
Redundancy isn't fun - comping is!

Just back from my first ever Boots sale.:) Must say it was much better than I had expected from some of the posts on here. About a dozen trolleys in front of me but still got everything I wanted. Bit of trolley bumping but apart from that it was very friendly:) Thanks to whoever suggested the Ikea bag, staff at checkout were very impressed! Had a quick check for vits etc but nothing on the shelves.

  • Will pop into town after 12, not after anything specific, just a few bits to stock up my 'present cupboard'
  • There was plenty in my local, shelves of the stuff, looks like they just couldn't shift anything this year. Not really anything in the way of toys though, they scanned at full price.

Just got back from Liverpool Clayton Sq, got everything I wanted and more :)

There were about 10 people outside waiting for doors to open and then a few others attracted once they had opened. Noone had trolleys or anything everyone was just taking 1 maybe 2 of each item not throwing the whole shelf in their basket which was good :)

Staff were also shopping in the sale once doors opened to customers so it looks as if they wern't given first pick too! Got £115 worth of stuff for just £28!! :)
Thanks to those who confirmed it was today!
