Ok, it's Christmas for me so here's question 2.

According to Bloomberg, how many 'bankers' lost their jobs worldwide in 2011?
    a. <100,000
    b. 100,000-200,000
    c. 200,000-300,000
    d. 300,000-400,000

Happy Christmas, especially to all unemployed bankers everywhere.

Worldwide, B I would guess, but only just.

If it was Lehmann's onwards, I'd say many more.

If its only 2011, I'll guess A. No idea though.

I thought it might be fun to set a Christmas quiz. Answers in the New Year. It might end early if I get bored but never mind. Try not to use Google but if you do then I am reliably informed Santa will not be visiting you next year.

    a. Children's car seats - should be standard rated but not sure.

    b. Tampons - definitely standard until fairly recently, but I thought Gordon Brown reduced to 5% (similar to domestic energy).
I though razor blades were exempt though.

    c. Chocolate body paint - edible foodstuff, zero rate.
    d. Pornographic magazines - all newspapers & book and magazine zero
rated. Similarly you used to be able to sell Playboy on a sunday but not a bible.
    e. Gambling - Exempt. Similar to financial services.

    f. Crisps - Standard I think (snacks & confectionary).

    g. Frozen Chips - surely zero.

    h. New Helicopters - zero or exempt, otherwise the Channel Isles would supply the whole of Europes aircraft.

    i. New Cars - standard rate, why wouldn't they be ?

    Happy Xmas Gen :)

Hope you don't mind me adding another quiz Q?

No googling, how many pairs of shoes/boots, on average, does a UK woman own?

I would say 100,000-200,000 bankers lost their jobs (presuming this is just the net decrease in jobs, gross must surely be >400,000).
