    Thanks,

I'm already with Nationwide - just was looking to join Barclays and Lloyds - want a mortgage in the next few years and know a lot offer the best deals for current a/c customers - would make sure I get salary paid into the relevant a/c a few months before application.

Nationwide seem to be very lax with credit scoring! Referred on a c/a, then got a 2k o/d limit a week later, upped that to 3.5k days after! It was letting me go further up (but I never tried as I don't want them to think I'm taking the mick and revoke it!).

My credit card pre approved was 3k too last time I looked!

I completely understand where you're coming from with this comment. I do have a passion for understanding credit scoring techniques and the maths behind the whole thing fascinates me.

To be honest, what kept me driven with Lloyds TSB, however, wasn't my fascination with this form of maths and stats, rather my conviction to find the truth - if there's one thing that riles me and gives me the energy to try harder it is being given inaccurate information.

I saw that I was going a bit crazy with the whole LTSB thing and closed the account - as no one who ever spoke about it who worked for them had advice to provide based in fact and / or experience.

Me, too. And no, there's no one within the organisation who is able to remove it manually. Various people I spoke to at LTSB claimed that other teams were able to but the reality of the situation is they are all at the mercy of the computer and can't remove it manually.

    Wow!

I never knew they had this!
