My CPD dropped of in the end - I don't think you can request to have it removed.gettingthere28 wrote: »Did your CPD99 get removed eventually ?, and if so was it automatically done or did you have to request it ?.0 -
What's a CPD?0

The old CPD rises again.
People do have lots of time on their hands to worry about Lloyds lending criteria.
To throw a curve ball in the lending criteria, did you guys know there are other markers other than CPD which prevent lending?
You cannot request the CPD marker to be removed. Lloyds will remove it when you qualify to have it removed.
Other departments other than Customer Support Unit can add it on. Shock, horror these are call centers.

Why do you doubt their authority?
Just my experience of banking call centres, the operators very rarely have any authority to do anything in these matters without referring it to a underwriter / credit department.
e.g. if someone were to apply for a loan, after taking all the details the computer makes the decision whether to Accept, Decline or Refer to someone else. A call centre operative can only tell you if it's been accepted or declined and has to get a decision for a referal by some person more senior / underwriter. They often don't even have access to online CRA data.
Mind you it's been a long time since I worked in one, things may well have improved. Depending on your point of view here.0 -
To be honest you spend way too much time worrying about the lending policies of lenders
I completely understand where you're coming from with this comment. I do have a passion for understanding credit scoring techniques and the maths behind the whole thing fascinates me.
To be honest, what kept me driven with Lloyds TSB, however, wasn't my fascination with this form of maths and stats, rather my conviction to find the truth - if there's one thing that riles me and gives me the energy to try harder it is being given inaccurate information.
I saw that I was going a bit crazy with the whole LTSB thing and closed the account - as no one who ever spoke about it who worked for them had advice to provide based in fact and / or experience. My CPD dropped of in the end - I don't think you can request to have it removed.
Me, too. And no, there's no one within the organisation who is able to remove it manually. Various people I spoke to at LTSB claimed that other teams were able to but the reality of the situation is they are all at the mercy of the computer and can't remove it manually.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Just thought I would add to this, I've always had CPD 99 on my accounts from the very start - they won't even give me a Cheque Book for this. I know the reason for this because I have a few defaults on my Credit File which is I understand and can't blame them for putting the marker on my accounts.
I sent a letter to the Complaints department (Just a request rather than a complaint as I could not get any straight information from anyone else either in branch or by phone) asking if the CPD Marker could be removed as my defaults were nearing the end now and would just simply like a Cheque Book.
They said in short terms that someone had looked into this for me and they would possibly look at it again when:
1) All my defaults had been fully satisfied.
2) I was working full time for at least 3 months and have my salary paid into the account.
3) The amount of at least £1,000 was being paid into the account each month again for 3+ months or more.
At the moment, I am still waiting for my last default now to be classed as satisfied so I can't ask for them to look into it further at the moment to see what happens.
Also, I did a Subject Access Request (Hope that's the correct name) and it included screen shots of everything they see from the computer in relation to lending limits etc and not only did I have a CPD 99 but I also in the 'Offers' Section had a '66 - No Further Lending' Marker to add to the list..
Funny enough it did suggest a Cheque Book but I guess it won't allow this due to the CPD 99 / 66 No Further Lending Marker.
I got a bit further to finding out how this CPD stuff works, but it does make me wonder even if the complaints department really fully knows how it works or if anybody does really know!David

I have satisified defaults and an old IVA marked as completed all on my credit file and I'm told my internal score is perfect, I also meet all the 3 criteria you mentioned but the data at the CRAs will stop me getting any other credit with them until they all drop off next year.
They also gave me 2 new additional classic accounts with a cheque book knowing all that. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for CPD markers in that case.
I would say though, the way I run my Lloyds TSB account is exemplary, and they know that too. :-)0 -

izools did you read the post by iereboy with regards to the fact that a CPD99 can be applied manually?
If a CP99 has been wrongly applied to your account it can be manually removed ie lets say you have been a victim of fraud and have defaults against your name for accounts you did not open etc etc. I have this information in writing. The old CPD rises again.

If I had a CPD from Lloyds I would become an ex Lloyds customer and go elsewhere - even if it was a basic bank account or a savings account with a cash card.0
