Lloyds CPD marker automatically drops off ?

I think there is more to it than just a CPD marker. I seem to remember either someone told me this or I read it somewhere that a internal score of 1 will give you everything, 2 everything except mortgage etc.... up to CPD99 where no credit products are available to you at all.0

I love to get a job at Lloyds I cant get my head round all this CPD malarkey :rotfl:
I might pop and into a branch and see what markers may or may not be lurking around my customer profile.:eek:Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
They don't let you look at your own accounts when you work at Lloyds or at least that used to be the case.0

You can view your own profile but not go into your account.

Ring phonebank, a clued up adviser will let you know! Most of them tell you, no they cant tell you, but they can.0 -
There is nothing stopping you looking at your accounts no matter what bank you work for - what none will allow you is to transact on your own account.0

Most banks must have a similar marker/indicator?0

Just seen this from searching google. I know it's old, but really useful information here. I opened a basic account with Lloyds after they declined me for a student account (and a normal account).
I'm always amazed at credit policies etc - I've saw my own at Natwest a few years back when they declined me for the next step of my student overdraft, and did think it was roughly right. Working at a bank (not them) it's very interesting to see the different ratings etc!
Interesting to read that Lloyd's basic account means a CPD marker will be added automatically - I understand *that* account obviously can't have an OD, cheque book etc, but I got it in the hope that with 'internal data' they may let me eventually have a credit card/vantage account etc - will this not be the case then?
Would I be better off just closing the account and re-applying from scratch in say a year's time - since an open account with a CPD will mean computer says no whatever my credit profile looks like?? Or is there a hope of the CPD dropping off even with the basic account open?
Also are Lloyd's basic accounts reported to CRAs if you run them well?0 -
TBH you're better off opening a Nationwide Cash Card Account

Full VISA debit card and online banking just the same as Lloyds TSB, but no equivalent of a CPD marker or the such like.
They have a much more sane credit scoring system as well and their loan / credit card products have a soft search function that tell you the APR (and Limit in case of Credit Card) before you apply based on a soft search of your credit file.
Been with them 14 months now and am very happy
