50p to Sealed Pot and 50p PAD today:)
I have decided to use my PAD money to save for Christmas presents now as I need to have something saved for next year instead of paying for it all with Decembers wages. I am going to try and wait to open this at the same time as the sealed pot at the end of November:j
Christmas costs me roughly the same amount every year so, I know how much I need to PAD to cover the cost, so won't be counting as I go, just leaving it as a surprise:D
Still plenty of money left in various pots from this weeks budget and 5 days left until payday! As it stands I still don't need any fresh stuff, so will be hoping for another NSD today:A I might have to spend tomorrow but planning for NSD's on Saturday and Sunday:D
Waiting for the next statements to come through so I can update my challenge amount:mad: I can't stand all this waiting!!!Pay off debt by Xmas 2012 #172

Evening:)
Had a lovely relaxing day, sorted out a few bits around the house and found another £1 so have added that to the sealed pot:T
Tomorrow I will be doing a shopping list and meal planning for next week, I am still hoping to stretch the remainder of my stocks so that I end up spending very little of my remaining grocery money. I may have to go and buy some milk and veg tomorrow but hopefully that will be it until Wednesday:D
These challenges are starting to get addictive!:)Pay off debt by Xmas 2012 #172

Hi Raspberry Sauce
Thanks for posting on my thread. Good luck with your diary **subscribes**.
We have a similar amount of debt so will need to keep a check on each other lol.
I'm quite new to this and might sound a bit thick here but I know what a sealed pot is but what is a PAD??
Catch up soon.

Hi Lil  thanks for subscribing, yes our debt is about the same, maybe we can cheer each other on:)
PAD is where you target a debt or saving for something and you make a Payment A Day until you reach it:D
50p for sealed pot this morning and £1 to PAD:j
Meal planning and shopping list for me today, so I will need to go through the cupboards and freezer to see what I already have, will not be a NSD today but planning two over the weekend, any leftovers from the shopping spends will go straight in the pot:A:beer:Pay off debt by Xmas 2012 #172

Shopping today wasn't too expensive as only needed a few bits. Threw the rest of the change into the sealed pot:D now hoping for NSD's for Saturday, Sunday and Monday too, which will be a great start for my January NSD target of 12 days without spending:) I expect to have to head off to the shops on tuesday though!
Meal planner started for next week, will do the shopping list from that. Hoping to come in under budget next week as I will still be using up food from the freezer and the cupboards.
Also hoping to make a decent payment to debt next week too:DPay off debt by Xmas 2012 #172

Another early start as I couldn't sleep!
£1.50 to sealed pot and £1.00 to PAD this morning:) Really feeling like this will make a difference for Christmas :xmastree: next year:j
Still playing around with budget and updating on spreadsheet, but I think I finally have it perfected:D
I now have a proper budget for Christmas and birthday presents with a set amount for each person, something which I have never done before:T When it it someone's birthday, I will withdraw the budgeted amount and then try and come in under that amount, any leftovers will go in the sealed pot:cool: Pretty much everything on my spreadsheet now has an allocated amount. I think I will have a rethink around the end of march and try and siphon some money off into an emergency fund, at the moment I have £1 per week going to miscellaneous, which although is good, isn't a big enough emergency fund for my liking:o
The more I come under budget in every category, the more will be going to the sealed pot, which means the less needed in the budget for Christmas and I can then use that money for my emergency fund:T Confusing much
Aims for today:
- find something from the freezer for dinner
- do some housework
- have a NSD
- write shopping list from next weeks meal planner
Off to play with my spreadsheet some more...very addictive:DPay off debt by Xmas 2012 #172
