  • Finally! Online statement through and now my total paid off debt so far is £344.46 :D That's 3.11% so far in 2012:T

I am so pleased with this:j

£10 PADded this morning along with £1.00 to my sealed pot:A

There should be another statement due in this weekend and it's the one I have been making all the extra payments off, so I should see my total debt paid figure jump quite a bit. There will be two more statements due in after that and then that will be it for January. If I can hit the 8.5% paid off mark by the end of the month, then I will be bang on target. Any higher than that and I will be bringing my DFD forward:j

A definate NSD for me today as I will not be spending anything today as there is no money left in the weekly pot:rotfl: so that make it very easy:D

That will take my total NSD's to 5/12 so far this month:T Again, on target to reach the full 12/12 in January:)

I'm sure I will be playing around a lot more with the spreadsheets today, seeing if I can do anything to up that percentage for this month:)

  • A successful NSD as planned today:) I know I don't want to wish my life away but I do want Saturday to hurry up as that is when my next statement is due:rotfl:

Spent a happy hour earlier playing with my spreadsheet and planning how to spend this weeks money:D I have also done the budget for february and I know that I should be able to manage a decent chunk off my catalogue, leaving the remaining balance at 0%:T then I will be free to concentrate on the other debts for a while:)

Things look very positive for the coming year now:)

  • This weeks money has been transferred, have a list of everything that needs to be bought this week and will go and draw it from the cashpoint this morning:)

Padded a massive ££102.50 this morning off my catalogue:T :D I wanted to catch the statement before it comes out, this does mean that I haven't got any money left to pad for a week:(

£1.00 to the sealed pot, which is building up slowly but surely towards Christmas 2012:)

Armed with my shopping list I will be doing the grocery shopping this morning so no NSD for me today, I am hoping to spend as little as possible as I am still using up stocks from the freezer and cupboards:) Fingers crossed i will come in under my £60 budget again this week:A

The thing I like about payday is putting all the cash in the individual pots, knowing that unless I have an emergency, everything is accounted for and money is slowly growing in each pot:T

I do want to start building a proper emergency fund, I think I will be starting this at the beginning of February. I will probably start very small but it will be comforting knowing there is something in back up:)

  • Hi i need to start "potting" i always end up robbing them though! lol x
  • Hi btd:wave:

Nothing exciting to report this morning, just patiently waiting for my statement to come up on online, which should be about 14th.

£1.00 to the sealed pot this morning:)

Today will be a NSD as I have plenty to get done around the house today, so won't be going out apart from the school run:T

Might have a tinker around with the spreadsheets again:D seems to be quite a hobby of mine at the moment:rotfl: At least it's a MSE one!

Spent a few £'s yesterday on groceries, but not a massive amount. Will update that at the end of the week and add it to my total in my signature then. I might have a bit of a clear out in the freezer today and make a list of exactly what I do have lurking in there. This might make a difference to how much I spend over the coming few weeks if I can find even more food to use up:)

I think I might make a list of all of my toiletries today too:D I need to see how much over everything I have (will probably shock myself:rotfl:) and I am going to pledge not to buy any more until I have used up what I already have, this should save me some more money:j

Aims for the remainder of January:

    - continue to pot £1.00 into sealed pot.
    - wait for catalogue statement to come in and work out how much to clear next month
    - after last two statements this month are in, adjust minimum payments for next month and give final 'debt paid' figure for January
    - finalise February's budget taking into account all new minimum payments on debts, giving more money to pay priority one debt (catalogue)
    - continue to keep track of all spending via spreadsheet
    - keep having NSD's, target 12 this month.

That's all I can think of for now:)

  • £1.00 to the sealed pot for me today:)

No NSD for me today but aiming for two over the weekend.

Statement due tomorrow, very excited about posting how much I have paid off this month minus interest, let's see if I have managed to bring the percentage anywhere near the 8.5% target I have for January:)

  • My statement is in:j and the interest is slightly lower than I had expected so I have managed to pay off £467.77 which makes a grand total of £812.23 paid off debt so far in January. I still have two statements to come in before the end of the month, but am seriously pleased with this amount:T:D

£1.00 to the sealed pot as usual this morning, and today will be a NSD:)

Now I have that figure from the statement, I can forecast February's budget and some of March's too.

  • I seem to have been MIA for a few days:) never mind, I have managed to achieve my 12/12 NSD's this month and all my statements are in for the month and I have paid £902.41 off my debt this month:T

I am rather pleased with that figure:)

I am under budget on the grocery challenge but will post total figure at the end of next week. Finalising February's budget right now, and I know I won't be able to pay off the amount I have this month but I will be trying to pay as much as I can.

I have still been putting away the odd loose change into my sealed pot and it feels quite heavy now:)
