  • its 8.9%. I'm getting an extra £250 interest added on every few months too at the rate its at now.

honestly, unless you have a job lined up before you start or are so brilliantly awesome with top marks in every single exam you ever took and LOADS of work experience then its a waste of time and money. the legal market is f*cked to put it mildly. my friends with jobs are terrified of loosing them now and planning for being let go as soon as their training contract ends or accepting a paralegal job because a training contract is never going to appear. unless you know someone who can take you on, its hopeless.

When I started working for solicitors a grand age of 18 up until 4 years ago it was a given that once you'd done your second year articles you then got a job where you trained. It was unheard of in the firms I worked to not get a job. When I left most of the trainees weren't being kept on  you have my sympathy xx

    LL you go girl xxx

Went to the doctors today, actually saw the nurse and she weighed me for a prescription of my pill which has never happened before. They have really old fashioned scales and they said I was.... 11 and a half stone  The nurse said I couldn't possibly be over ten and I know I am much less than ten. I mentioned this to OH in a text and he said "well you are on the porky side, i'm a lot stronger than i look". I'm pretty sure it was a joke, it is his kind of joke and he then asked if they reweighed me and joked about weighing my boobs, but 1% of my brain believed it and I started crying and carried on crying for a good 15 minutes! I've just been lying in bed in a bit of a daze for the last hour and feel really weird.

Adelight - aww, hun, I'm sure he just meant it as a joke - something my OH would say as well! You know it's not true. Are you just feeling a bit frazzled at the moment? I know when things get on top of me it just takes the slightest thing to set me off - maybe might have been a bit of a release? Can you make the effort to try and do something fun/pampering to try and up the mood a bit - and tell OH you want an apology when he gets home! Sending you positive thoughts x

Sorry my last post was all me, me, me -

Well like you said It has to be about you now ;)

And thank you for that post, I need your lessons, as a carer myself. And then people "go on" about benefit scroungers, I cant even get the council to give me a place to live. I shouldnt have worked hard or gone to uni, if I had gotten pregnant years ago I wouldnt have half the hassle!

I feel like that too. If i had a kid me and dh would be looked after. If I get a very low paid job, I can't even get tax credits because im not 25 and according to the government magically the day I do turn 25 I'll apparently have all these extra responsibilities above a house and bills and food and car insurance and petrol and tax that just don't affect us under 25s!

I'm left to rot at my job centre because I have a degree, they won't give me any help that non degree holders get.

I'm sure it was a joke but a pretty thoughtless man-kind of joke - they just don't get it do they?
Are you a bit hormonal too? Sometimes when I am the strangest of things that I'd usually not even think about can set me off in tears.:o
Today I found myself filling up and almost crying because it was raining and I had to walk the dog, then again when watching Loose Women!!! Shoot me now!

I would like to give Adelight a big hug, those scales are awful. I tell them I get weighed, acurately and calibrated-ly at weighwatchers everyweek, then I stand on those ages scales and its about 18 stone lol!

Never mind, you just made me jealous... if the scales read 11 stone for me I would be bouncing off the walls happy! (I dont remember EVER being that light, first weight I remember reading was 13 stone lol)

And LW thank you, I thought the dodgy anti depressants were just pushing me towards self harm *was begging the doctor to get me off them* but now I realise they could have been making me gain weight as well (and I worked so hard to get to 15 stone (()
