    Lizzie

I just wanted to say that you seem a lot brighter and happier these days. Re the benefits/money situation. I think you are doing well - keep up the studies because in the long term I'm sure it will help with landing that dream job.

In the meantime - is there anything you can be doing to earn a few extra £s. I know it's very difficult when you are on benefits - obviously you don't want to contravene any rules and regulations and risk losing your benefits/being prosecuted for benefit fraud etc. However, I'm sure the odd car boot, bit of e-baying would be fine.

The rule is as long as you are selling your own stuff and not purposely buying to resell for a profit then you are within the rules.

Re your London trip. Look out for vouchers/deals etc for attractions and restaurants. I recently collected some 2 for 1 vouchers with Vanish laundry bleach. They were for the group who own Alton Towers/Warwick Castle - this consortium also owns Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium. Children love those and they are great fun for grown ups too.

Book your train tickets well in advance for the best deals. I upped mine to First Class - only an extra £5 each way. I didn't realise at the time of booking that by going first class, you get free tea/coffee, water/juice sandwiches and biscuits included in the price. Bargain. :D There are also WIFI sockets in first class so would keep youngsters amused.

Agree with FMW - WW that was a lovely thing to do for your neighbour.

Right off to do some fabbing, and then Stage II of the paperwork marathon.

    Have a Fab day everyone.

thanks LL I am feeling more positive. I do sell a few bits on ebay and do a few surveys which helps enormously with birthdays and xmas etc, have always looked for bargains too. It does get a bit wearing at times having to watch every penny which is why we stopped having days out as much I suppose, but am determined this year to go to more places and see a bit more. May not be a lot more but more.
on the train my partner gets free passes for the 4 of us and we don't use them usually -always found it easier to go by car - but as petrol is so expensive this year I am decided we will use them at least a bit.
will look out for coupons etc too
this year I aim to have a better year than last year in every area possible:)

LL - its in May so plenty of time to get up to that distance. Having a few days off with this cold and snow after a very cold run on Friday that wasn't very good with very cold heavy legs. I'm not running for charity. I'm doing it for me, one of my own personal challenges and accomplishments, if all goes well.

Thanks for the tips re OCM and HM serum and oild. When mine run out shortly I'll give it a go to make my own and step back from the very expensive one's I've been using and see if I can make it myself. The HM bath salts are lovely and I've been enjoying these ones I made for Christmas presents and were left over for me.

Elfen - congratulations. Your rings are beautiful. I wish you a long and happy life together.

Newbies - sending you warm fabbing welcomes.

Lamewolf glad to see you posting. Hope you are having a better day today.

Fabbing this week - I got a haircut !! :j First time in over six months. OH has told me several times how much it suits me. Hairdresser was lovely, and not scarey, so that means I now have a local one that I'm happy to use. Am promising myself another trim in 6 - 8 weeks when I'm in post-op recovery.

Have a lovely peaceful Sunday everyone.

That's lovely news elfen, congratulations to you and MrE. It's so exciting, knowing we have bratz wedding and then yours. What fantastic motivation to be fab!!!

Welcome newbies, you'll love this thread.

LL, sorry to say that DH's match is cancelled today because of weather (although I think sudden death of Forest owner maybe part of it). Ours went ahead last night (for Sky I'm sure) and it was quite ridiculous. Ended up as a goalless draw as almost impossible to do anyting but play safe. Different shaped ball on the menu today. Cymru am Byth!! Far from being a sports widow, I love it myself so never had any problems with DH disappearing off I go with him! (or rather he comes with me;)).

Thanks for the OCM advice LL. I was just wondering whether a lot of massaging in of oil is an important part of the process as that's what takes the time. I've been using 100% castor oil but only twice a week.

    Back later.

Back again, my lovely DD1 called by with a bunch of flowers for me. She said it made a change from arriving with a bag of washing which she was doing all last week as her machine died on her!

Lizzie, sorry to hear that your trip has to be delayed. These offers

http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ are really good. I'd definitely recommend the river cruise. They're really smart and comfortable and you get to see lots of sights from the river. You'll need to check wheter your passes qualify you but otherwise people just buy a cheap ticket from the outskirts.

Great that you've found a good hairdresser rosetta. I've been using mine for years and although he's very expensive I think it's worth it. Interestingly, SIL just emailed a slideshow of photos from the family party we went to a couple of weeks ago. I'd had my hair done that day and it looked really good. In fact, although I say it myself I looked really good:o All this fabbing is working.:j I did look a bit pale though so really need to think about foundation. Like LL, I don't bother in the summer as get a bit of natural tan on early holiday and top it up with a little fake if needed. In the winter I look so pale but being new to most make up I've only ventured as far as tinted moisturiser and tanning powder on top. My huge dread is that I use foundation and it settles into wrinkles (er...laughter lines;)) round eyes. Any thoughts?

No snow here. It's very dull compared with recent days. Plan is to cook a big roast (Yum!) and I must do something constructive. Hopefuly in the decluttering line.
