Had a fab find today :D

Technika 7" Portable DVD Player (the box with the man with his hands in the air)

    Scanned at 50p!!!!

    B/C 5052003613543

It was on it's own on shelf near the other DVD players in the most beat up looking box. I couldn't scan it, but took the risk at the till and even though the SA spent what felt like an age staring at the price on the screen she still let me have it :D

    Great find:T:T

is there an easy way to 'mark' where you've read up to on each thread? I do try to remember what post number i've got up to but that never happens! I seem to spend ages going backwards and forwards trying to work out where I got up to!

It's probably something glaringly obvious I know, but I'm the first to admit I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer :rotfl:

    Thanks x

I click on the title of the thread and it takes me to the first unread post, but I know others do other things.
    Hope is not a strategy.

I sleep for between 16 and 19 hours per day. I get up take kids to school, go to bed, pick kids up, feed them go to bed. Oh nip to MrT's on the way home. I went for an MRI scan this week and fell straight asleep in the machine:eek::eek:
My kids are great as I'm on my own with them and when I fall asleep they still go to bed at nine (age 11 and 13).

I can't get a word in lately, can watch u all at work but can't post and it takes all evening, morning, to catch up again.
Please put my head right about my latest gripe kind peeps.
I love to share and would give the shirt off my back if it made someone happy .....but there seems to be a lot of lurkers in my local.
Nobody has come forward for the list but yesterday there were three full strips of andrex (first time) so I took about six and went back last night and they were all gone, clip strips were there but empty.
Same thing with iron cleaners and bin fresheners last week.
Why will they not join in properly, I would love to hear from them.Am I being unreasonable ??

I know what you mean too wendy, there are definitely lurkers in my local stores too. I am quite "lucky" (or not, depending on which way you look at it :D) to have 5 extras and 1 normal T's relatively close to me (none more than 15-20 mins away in the car) and I have only ever seen 1 other poster mention one of these stores. Yet every time I go to any of them, I hardly ever seem to find much that has been mentioned on here on that day or over the previous couple of days. In the stores that have scanners, I have seen things (which had been mentioned on here) abandoned randomly near the scanner when they obviously scanned at a higher price  (Why can't people put things back?). For example, out of these 5 extra stores, I have never found any andrex, iron pads, T bags (well, I found 1 pack ages ago), sarah smith wipes (again I found 3 packs in the normal store earlier this week). I agree that we are not "entitled" to these things just because we post on here but it would save people unnecessary "dash out the door" trips if people just posted to say "found abc at xyz store but took last ones" or something like that. I would also love to meet some "friends of martin" on my little trips or just share stories of finds in local stores etc but when I last checked the list, no-one on there is near to me. I suppose it's up to each individual whether they wish to post/contribute or not but can I just say to any lurkers......... "please leave me 1 little roll of Andrex on the go if you see any more" :rotfl::rotfl:

I took myself off to R*inh*m extra today (this is the store I have seen someone post about but can't remember who so  if you read this. Anyway, in the homeware section there were loadsssss of staff (and a couple of managers) scanning everything! There must have been at least 4-5 staff down each aisle checking everything on the shelves.......... they didn't appear to be taking much notice of the clipstrips though :D:rotfl::rotfl:. I think I may have found another little cheapy (sorry if it's been mentioned before). Nothing too exciting, another set of coasters, these were in an oblong plastic pack (4 coasters), on clipstrips, 2 designs (2 of the coasters with a pic of a pizza on with the words "Pizza the action" and the other 2 with a pic of a six pack beers with the words "Nice six pack ..... and a damn sight easier to get"). No SEL but scanned at 9p per pack. These were down the aisle where all the other trays/coasters/cups were (as well as 5 staff checking prices) on clipstrips. I took 5 packs but left loads there.

    HTH :)

    Back to catching up :D

ETA: Okay, I've now caught up and seen that Kirsjude had already found the item above and posted a pic of it a few pages back (now why didn't I make a note of the page/post number :o).... anyway, thank you Kirsjude. I'd also like to say  to American Pie as I noticed that you were in R*inh*m Xtra today too :)
If at first you don't succeed ........ ;) Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

I fell asleep on a trolley in A & E when I first got the shingles, in september, I must have been bad i won't normally touch anything in hospitals,& smother myself in anti bac gel in fact we only live 10 mins away so if I take anyone else to A & E & I need to go to the toilet I leave them there & nip back home.

Sounds like you have lovely kids who don't take advantage
