This afternoon I got £5.38 DTD (2 x £2.69) for an OOD BOGOF SEL on Coco Pops Moon and Stars ... I'd paid on a debit card and was asked how I'd like my DTD ... card or cash. I opted for cash

I found the 370g boxes in a store today where they recently scanned at 60 odd pence but they now scan at full price. there was however an SEL for bogof. I didn't scrutinise the dateon it sadly.0 -
If the police are in a bad mood you can be prosecuted. In the case I knew of the person concerned was let off with a warning. HTH:)
Thanks. To be honest, I don't think that the police can prosecute because they "are in a bad mood." Not these days anyway. There must be a criminal offence but it does depend on whether the individual officer decides to take any action or not.0 -

Is it bothering you again?? I hope you're ok? xx
I have severe eye strain and I've basically pulled or strained some facial muscles, have to stay off the computer a lot so trying to ease off coming on here as much as possible.
I've got this weird pulling sensation and different aches/pains/whatever else on my face, but my face never looks any different and there's no weakness luckily *phew*, have been sleeping on my side with too many pillows as well which probably made it worse, but I did that to stop getting the acid reflux that stopped me sleeping.
I've also got sciatica again.

Some plank didn't seem to know why I flashed him yesterday. It was almost 6pm and he had sidelights on on a totally unlit country lane!
Bottom line though is our driving test is pathetic, there is no follow up training and the numbers of police about to actually punish poor driving makes the whole road system a free for all.
There has been some idiot drivers this week in my area, 8am in the morning still dark, really bad wind and rain and visibility poor and they are driving with NO lights on at all!! How are people supposed to see them in bad visibility with no lights??
ok rant over
to Nikkilala Congratulations to your DS you must be so proud

Also depends on how clued up you are on the burden of proof required!
Most decent coppers just want to see you are observant and at least offer a reasonable explanation of your actions. What they don't like is young d8ckheads with lots of attitude who are unwilling to take advice.0 -

Age 2 he emptied a bottle of waterproof suncream on the stairs carpet, whilst I was cleaning that up (not the easiest thing to remove!) he went in the fridge & emptied a carton of custard on the dining room carpet. I lost count of the things put down the toilet & the amount of times he'd empty a 6 pint carton of milk on the kitchen floor! He put the sky remote in the fish tank (they look like a watering can when the water comes out of the button holes!!lol)
Coloured the grout in on the kitchen tiles with crayon (wd40 cleans it much better than the other 20+ products I tried!!), drew spirals down the stairs wall I'd just painted He was as quick as a whippet, I only had to turn my back to get him a drink & he'd be off, its a wonder Im not grey!! I have to say tho that he is now the sweetest, most placid :A, who rarely does anything wrong, so I guess it was just a case of terrible 2's!(3's &4's)!:rotfl:
Is it wrong that I :rotfl: at that? He sounds like my DS1. I told DS to take some toys to his "toy box" yesterday while I was busy cooking dinner. I wondered why I could hear him upstairs but figured as long as he was behaving it was ok. Went up a couple of hours later to do the boys baths and as I went to set the toilet seat lid down, I spotted the toys in the loo  My initial reaction was to shout & scream until I realised that "toilet" and "toy box" are fairly similar sounding so I had a wee chuckle instead. He was 2 during the summer and can fully operate the Sky box (navigate the TV guide as well as finding his TV shows in the planner) and the blu-ray player. Far to bleeding smart for his own good!
Fairly tame day in Ts today. Managed a couple of whoopsies but nothing fantastic. Found some Lego bits scanning cheap but they were all single bits'n'bobs so probably no point in listing them. Got a couple of Cars bits reduced. Picked up another couple of Little Steps bit for the neighbour. Saw a lonely Buzz Lightyear accessory toy like one I posted about a week or so ago. I got it and other similar ones for £1. What did this one lonely toy scan at (and have the correct SEL for as well) ................. £4.97
Also found loads of Xmas crafts stuff reduced so lots of stuff for DS1 to wreak havoc with later this year. The things I got included stickers, foil paper, stampers, glitter and foam 'make your own' type sets (think the ones I got were make your own Santa Stop Here signs).
Muller glitch worked on 12 crunch corners for me and the greek ones for mum though she only got 6 (we weren't sure if they were glitching as we'd been out at the dentist so a few hours behind on this thread). No sign of Kokos or any 1p bargains.
Sharon-p - good luck for today. I don't know what else to say other than your kids sound like they're being very mature about it.
SpirallingDown - you are an amazing mum. I'm not sure if I've missed stuff out trying to catch up on here but dealing with a child on your own isn't easy. I may be a single mum but I can't imagine having to deal with losing a DH and how that would affect the kids. PM me any time hon.
And I knew I forgot something ......... well done to your DS Nikkilala. I can only hope some day that my boys can make me as proud as your DS makes you.0 -

Quite right. Just to clear this up the reason I used the word "technical" is that it can be up the officer involved to judge whether it is a fine or a warning. Following the rule book to the letter it is a fine but as conditions can change quickly it is possible that someone has just not realised/had the time to think that conditions do not require foglights.Awaiting a new sig0 -
I will post a photo of my back tattoo and maybe one of my others shortly
Hey Artha not seen you post in a while hope all is well.
I will be honest there is time's I forget to put my full lights on, like if I have pulled up I will always put parking lights on but sometimes I set off and forget to turn them up full it's normally when someone flashes me I think oh !!!!!! lights, no matter how many times I tell myself not to forget I do and I get mad with myself, but to go down a country lane...how could you not notice?!?
Good luck spiralling down

I have an opinion on that (now theres a surprise lol)...I think there shouldnt be a switch in the car for sidelights! They serve no purpose at all IMO.
If road conditions require lights, then lights should be on, none of this sidelights or headlights nonsense.
The only GOOD reason for sidelights is if they automatically come on as well as your headlights when the switch is activated to act as a temporary light showing the corner of the vehicle should the main headlamp bulb fail.
A good habit imo is to use headlights if any lights are needed.0
