Talking about bad driving. I followed someone with rear fog lights on the other evening for about 10 mins. When we both stopped alongside each other at traffic lights I opened the window and told him.

'Hello...did you know your fog lights are on?'
    'yes'
'oh sorry, it's just it's not foggy'
    'i know, but it's raining'

!!!!!!? they are called FOG lights for a reason.

Sorry, I still don't like the idea. It means the person using that extended mirror is taking their eyes for the road for longer than is necessary.
Don't mind me, I just have a bit of a 'thing' about people not paying attention when they are driving. I do 50 miles a day and I could write (a boring) book on bad driving!!
Debsjc I sort of agree with you as when we had one we were always tempted to look in it which distracted us from the road but one time we looked and DD managed to take her arms out of the strap and we wouldn't have known otherwise as we had another 70 miles to go.
Don't get me started on bad driving though! Haha

Anyway people where are these daily photos?

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

I agree with the fact that some people would find it distracting but if used correctly you're only supposed to glance in it should be fine.
We used to have 1 when DS was a baby and only used it if we heard a strange noise from the back seat otherwise drove as normal.

On the subject of writing a book on bad driving, I used to drive for my main job so could be doing anything from 100 miles plus per night or occasionally day in NI. The amount of accidents I've witnessed and been in (through no fault of my own, hazard of driving so much) I think I've seen almost everything.

My last accident was in 2009 when a 94yr old man got himself flustered coming out of a garage behind me to go into the other lane, he didn't see the motorcyclist in the other lane, hit him sending him into the air which I witnessed in wing mirror , the next thing I knew my car was being pushed forwards the other car then smashed into the traffic lights. According to the cops he paniced and instead of hitting the breaks he hit the accelorator and smashed into me before finding the break. The best bit was when both our cars ended in the same garage his only had 32 miles on it, he'd only just picked it up 20 mins before and then had to explain to his insurers what he'd done

    Yeah what happened to those?
Though there might be some tattoo ones, I liked that idea!
Mine is on my back so would need to get OH to take a pic for me

d*ckheads don't realise that the high intensity of the fog light is hideous in the rain to people following as it virtually fills the screen with this red'mist'....in more ways than one!

I managed to overtake one tw@ today on a dual carriageway so i could then slow him down....hideous winds making driving terrible and I had to do almost 100mph to overtake this bloke with his wife and 3 kids in the car! He didn't make it over 70 till I turned off and my hand jesture to him as I turned off told him all he needed to know. ;)

I have the Tesco one and it has been fine, though I don't use ready made sauces with it. I think it's best to use stock and thicken it at the end - so the comment about the sugar making it stick sounds about right.

I used to have a round slow cooker but changed to an oval one as I wanted to be able to roast chicken in it too.

Well done on the pie, by the way - it looked lovely :)

PM me if you are looking for anything in my last post ;)

Off to bed now, night all
