Well I've decided my Tesco is rubbish. Decided I WAS going to find some bargains today so literally looked at everything, every yellow SEL and every clip strip. The only thing they have ever had, and still do have, are the freaky fingers for 1p. As I'm dieting and already have about 10 boxes, I didn't get anymore. I could see the big hole where 'LovingTescoForever' had nabbed his 17 boxes yesterday LOL.
I used some coupons so with them and multibuys, got £12 off a £30 shop. Think I'm gonna go find a T's with a scanner. Will make life a whole lot easier and would also love to be able to find something to share with all of you.
I think it's worth going further if you can to a store with a scanner, otherwise you are essentially shopping with your eyes closed!
You still have to take a gamble with multibuys etc but you can check if that ood sel for a half price item is really ood (sometimes offers continue after the date) then you pick up as many as you dare!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
I do hope it's good news. Fingers crossed for him. Will he be able to tell on UCAS track before postie comes what the news is? I'm sure DD2 did with all her offers and the decline before she got anything in the post.
No he can't I don't think, so it's really waiting for the postie. He's ok about it because he's got UCL, Warwick & Durham so far so is really happy. I'm not mentioning it too much at the moment, but he has told me he wants to open the letter on his own;) I feel for him so much because if he did get an offer he has to pass another maths exam that 60% fail:(:(It's just massive pressure on him. But at least after tomorrow I'll know where he's going. Saying that he's still waiting on St Andrews but I desperately don't want him to take that because it's so far away. I don't think he'll get in, he's really clever, fantastic grades but I just get the impression he's not eccentric enough for them ,if you know what I mean;)
So am definately whoopsying tonight to stop me thinking about tomorrow;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Bit off topic, but just wondered if anyone knows what time approx. Waitroes do they last reductions on 'whoopsies'? and do they go as low as T's ie 10p or do they tend to be slightly higher?
TIA xx0 -
wow 3dogs what a great neighbour you are .....and you have enough to deal with but still you care enough to worry about his dogs........poor things bless them. Had you previously discussed what would happen if the dogs were ill while he is away? Do you know what vet he normally uses? I can only suggest leaving a note for whoever might be also 'looking in'
I would be tempted to phone his vet and see what he suggests, they might even have a mobile number for him if dogs have been in for operations?
sorry cant be more help, do let us know what happens as you know we are all daft on here and will all worry so much now about doggies.
Ooooops......sorry to hear Mr 3 is STILL in pain ....cant remember specifics of his problem (sorry memory of a goldfish) sending hugs xxxYNWA JFT96 :A0 -
More details on my wine DTD, from a Hampsh1re store. This is the first one I've ever found myself so I'm so excited. :j
Thanks to everyone for training me well!
It was an OOD SEL, expired either yesterday or the day before. SEL said £4.99 a bottle, scanned at £9.99, at the till 6 bottles rang up at £56.94 (5% discount for 6 bottles I think). The DTD Customer services calculated was £56.98
The wine was Gallo Five Oaks Chardonnay from California.

Can I ask a favor of all those that are by me in West Sussex - if you see any of the Andrex 'On The Go' or any cheap anti-bac hand gels etc could you please give me a heads up? My eldest is off with Raleigh International to do 3 months charity work in India in 4 weeks and could really do with these for his trip.
The 'Who Are We' list - I did put my details on post 5534 but will share again as Im not on the list! :-
Kymie - female over 30 *sigh* - West Sussex - mum of 6 - American Football and Disney fan - twitter addict
How many andrex on the go do you think he'll need? As you know, I have quite a few, lol. Also I suspect minnie mouse balloons might be useful for your LO? I have some of these spare too.
Let me know and i'll see what I can fish out for you and we'll catch up later in the wkA clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless0 -
Afternoon guys - I've managed to get caught up a little earlier today so you lot mustn't be chattering away as much as normal :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I guess everyone is out looking for 50p BluRay players
Mr 3Dogs is going to have to go back to docs tomorrow as, although the sciatica pain is better than it was 4 or 5 weeks ago, he is still in lots of pain, despite the meds, and is back on the m0rphine

I have been rather distracted from Mr T's for the last couple of days as found out that my neighbour's dogs have been 'home alone' for at least 2 days but possibly since New Years Eve, or before - so looking in on them as we have a key, but very distressing as one of our dogs alerted me that one of them was in the garden seriously confused and distressed as he couldn't find his way back into the houseThey are both about 22 years old Lhasa Apsos, !!!!! in good health but dog in ill health, with large growth on his side, bad ears and yukky eyes. They were Ok when I was looking in on them over Christmas when he was away, but when I went round on Monday night it seemed like dog may have had a stroke with getting so distressed and cannot see at all now, so bumping into everything. So, been going in to feed them, take them out into the garden, mop the floor, etc since then. No way of contacting neighbour but assume he has gone up to family in Scotland for NYE as normal but don't know what arrangements he'd made, if any, for the dogs. If he can't get us, he sometimes gets a mate to call in on them, or we share looking after them, but with dog in this state, he really shouldn't be left alone and should see a vet
Someone has suggested that the weather in Scotland may have left him stranded, but will have to call police if he is not back tomorrow, as very worried about the dogs
3Dogs, you truly are a star :A
Sorry Mr 3D isnt too well again, hopefully the GP will get his meds right and he can feel more like normal again very soon:)

lutzi1 have a look here http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/EnglandNorth/Pennines.htm
I live near the pennines about 10 mins drive away and its very windy here. Keeps going dark and having heavy downpours then brightens up. Hope you manage it to Chester tonight.
Thanks tweets and everyone else who helped me. We decided to go, got over safely but there was a major hold up on the motorway (and the other direction was closed altogether! - looked like lorries had got into trouble in the wind) so we had to go round it and what should have been a 90 minute journey turned out to be more than three hours! Still, we had a nice time -had a nice meal out, used £20 of Tesco vouchers towards it, and the night at the Holiday Inn b&b cost £14 including free newspaper. Very MSE!Hope is not a strategy.0 -

No, we regret now, not having a phone number for him or discussing what we should do if dogs ill - really should have done this as about 18 months or 2 years ago, his then lady-friend was staying there looking after the dogs when her daughter came round and said her mother had rang her and she was trying to get into house as thought mother had tried to top herself, as she had done many times before  so ended up with police coming and having to break down the back door and she was taken to hospital to have stomach pumped out and we ended up taking the two poor dogs in overnight until someone from family/friends came for them the next day - they were no bother at all, but wouldn't leave each other's sides - though our Billy 'protected' them and wouldn't let our other two near them - as you can see from the photo below
Oh, and I have left a message next door in case anyone comes in to see to them adding to it every time I go inMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
