I bought the coffe things today as I read someone had used them for the kettle, but I cant find the post now. Has anyone else used these for the kettle please? Thanks IA
I have, using a couple of tablets. Just boiled the water and popped them in. Waited about 10 mins and the kettle was fine. HTH0 -

but how do you 'get in'? do they advertise or do you just look for hairdressing schools and ask? TIA :A
Well the 'posh' salon was one that my ex's sister discovered when she was a student ... that was 15+ yrs ago and they've moved 3 times now. I suppose you could just phone the hairdressing schools and ask what their policy is. I have also seen a doorway to a Toni and Guy Acadamy but not been to them.
The cheapo salon is one that a neighbour of mine goes to ... but doesn't want "anyone" to know that she goes in case they think she's tight/hard up (think Keeping Up Appearences ... Mrs Bucket) :rotfl:0 -
Salt it and keep it in airtight container and you should get 2 weeks out of it
if you cant be fussed with all the rinsing then its less time
Thank you, 'fess up now, how many of us are going to spend some of New Years Eve making butter?:rotfl::rotfl:If I can get whoopsied cream, I am;)
We are such domestic goddesses, last week it was "Sorry can't come out, too busy icing Mary Berry" This week it'll be " Yesterday, Oh Yes I was busy making butter";)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
21 packets of ham would last just over a month in my house:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We work from home and have sarnies everyday so use a packet a day:eek::eek::eek::eek:I have a special tray in the freezer purely for sandwich stuff:p:p:pHave learnt not to buy the sliced beef though, it goes slimy when you defrost it;) I very rarely touch the bakery or bread whoopsies because they're the ones that I end up not using and giving to my mum.
Me and the cat share a pack now and again but I'm not much one for sarnies. I'll only ever buy bread when its pence a loaf as I only ever eat 2 or 4 slices out of a loaf for a sausage sarnie and the rest goes tot he birds.........
.........talking of sausages, 32 packs???? **wags disapproving finger at lala**0 -
Right, bye folks, I'm going whoopsie-ing! Wish me luck!
On another note, I've just donated a load of old throws, some feed bowls and a pet bed to a woman off freecycle who donates to an animal rescue in Wales, she left me a bottle of Blossom Hill as a thank you! Woohoo!!!!
I don't drink wine but I shall be having a taste before giving the rest of the bottle to next door's partyNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

See post 4468 for how to make, as for sarnies its pure butter you cant get any better
it lasts a few weeks in the fridge if salted, lasts ages in the freezer I prefer to make big amounts and freeze it in small "nobettes" and get one or 2 out the night before I need them
"nobettes" :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon folks!
Firstly I would like to wish you and your families a very prosperousnew year when the time comes.
Secondly I got a clip strip does wobbly jiggy dance :j:p (Fashionably late to join the club of course) 6 x Jewel air freshners and 5 x croc bin air freshners. I wasn't on my own turf for these though went for a wee dander to Elgin and had to visit Mr A (I'm a traitor)!
Got loads of cheap Xmas stuff biscuits, sweets etc etc. Got a couple of good wombled receiptsI made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -
Fanta 2l scanning at £1.98 sel £1.00 had £1.96 back dtd.
Had an email off philip saying they will send out £30 after the fuss with the nicky clarke
hairstraightners even though they said they don't sell them in that store.
But i brought home the new SEL so have proof.... blooming liars
:eek::eek::eek:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I might be a bit of a chicken but I never touch the sels unless the price is covered by 'sorry out of stock' label or anything else and I want to see the price...
The only time I removed a sel(actually two!) was when the CS guy told me to go get them for him as it was my 3rd or 4th dtd with him and he was fed up with me
but I'm sure taking sels to CS when not told to gives them another excuse not to give dtd(you brought the sel into the store today or got it from wherever they can think of)
and finally 'stealing' seld can get you banned from the store0 -
