My Amarylis bulb has arrived from Viking!!!

I truly didn't think it would come.

I feel really guilty about it though now. I only bought a 9p pencil sharpener and they have had to pay for the postage, packing & Amarylis bulb and the welcome pack. They did actually have some fab bargains on there do I just hope they don't go under :(

I hope they get lots of business from this but fear they will not :(

That's the thing with these glitches, the company are doing it to drum up business and build sales in a quiet period and it could end up with them losing money and going under....

    for that reason I'm out!

I've done this with roast dinners too :T

Another option is to put leftovers together in a pan and mix with gravy. This makes a fabtastic and hearty pie filling!

Mind you, you can stick anything in a pie!!

I have made em with chilli, curry... You name it, I've filled a pie with it!

Here's the JO recipe...a bit poncy but works well with anything...I didn't have any peppers or garlic but it was still a very nice filling soup!!:T

    Really quick and easy!!:D

  • Heading out soon and no time to read back are there any food glitches out there?
  • There was soooo much 5p double cream reduced in my local Tesco last night so I bought some and made some butter. It's so easy to make if you don't already know and if the cream is 5p you can't go wrong! You basically just whisk up the cream until it turns into butter, then drain the buttermilk and rinse thoroughly until it runs clear. Then you can add a bit of salt if required and form into shape. It can be frozen for a few months too. Apparently it tastes saltier after it has been frozen so don't add as much salt.
An electric whisk is best or it will take forever!
