Hi Kadison
Have you recently started taking any new medication?
I suffer with awful migraines and my GP wanted me to try preventative treatment rather than keep taking the really strong painkillers I'd been on.
At first she prescribed Beta Blockers which did stop the migraines but also stopped me from sleeping!
Then she tried a really low dose of Amitriptyline, which is an anti depressant that has been proven to prevent migraines. Again it helped with the headaches, but it was far too sedating. I was sleeping for hours and like a Zombie whilst awake.
She then gave me Imipramine, another type of anti depressant which I had to take a really low dose of. This gave me awful nightmares....to the extent I'd wake in the night thinking they were real!! My OH found me in the early hours hanging out of the bedroom window when it was blowing a gale and pouring with rain.....convinced our daughter was out there!! (She was asleep in bed!)
I have never experienced such vivid dreams in my life but they stopped immediately when I stopped taking the pills!
If you aren't taking anything that could be causing these side effects, I would still go to see your GP as it's not normal to be getting nightmares every night. There must be a reason for it.
Hope you get it sortedMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Hi
Cant remember if this is the right forum but my free copy of 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' arrived this morning. Thanks to the OP for posting (whoever you are) :j
Christmas was not as expected. Woke up early Christmas morning bleeding from the mouth which wouldn't stop and covered in blisters and bruises. Taken to hospital kept in until late 27th. Need to go to Ts today for catfood, will give me a chance to scare a few of the locals (I look like the purple people eater):rotfl:0 -
Welllllllllllll
A "normal" bra is like popping ya jubblies in a hammock
A "push-up" bra is popping ya jubblies up under your chin(s)
A "balcony" bra is like popping ya jubblies on a shelf
All clear now ??
I showed this to my OH and he has just asked me what type of bra I need to wear now everything has started to go south.
"Do they sell hoists?" he asked before I smacked him in the gob!!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Hiya, no it's not down to medication, it's down to me having panic attacks over and over while I try to sleep. I am making an appointment with my GP over it as they have been getting steadily worseI don't really know why either, but it's getting incredibly tiring!
I had awful stuff like that when I was switched onto a different anti-depressant, back on my normal one since then, three weeks on those were so awful I refused to take them ever again!!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

How awful for you...there's nothing worse than not being able to sleep.
My MIL has been having trouble with insomnia lately and she has been prescribed (can't remember the name, but it's a well known antidepressant) just for three weeks only, to break the cycle.

Talking of using veg, the OH bunged all the unused xmas dinner stuff....inc roasties and stuffing etc and heated it in a pan then blended it into a soup and served it with fresh bread and butter. Was lush!
I done this too...ala Jamie oliver..he called it turkey chowder, I've had it for lunch and brekky for the last few days...all gone now tho!!
He started it with softened onion and a spoon of cayenne..as you say lush, I will be using that one in future!!:T"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Oh I've missed sooo much ... someone please post the link to Happy Chappy's shoes
BTW I'm sure someone on here mentioned handing in some money they had found in an ATM to CS and that they were told that if it wasn't claimed they would be notified ... Can't remeber who it was. Just wondering if this is a company wide policy cos the same happend to me on Christmas Eve but CS didn't mention getting back to me if it wasn't claimed. :cool:0
