Mine is at most £600 per month- thats rent, gas/electric, cable tv, mobile phone, water and tv licence

I share a house with one other and we split the bills down the middle. I use his car, he pays the insurance etc on it!

I know i was shocked when we worked it out, but to be honest i dont really know how to lower it!

we do have two cars which we need.

sunshine - how is yours that low?? we spend more than that on food!!!!

Diesel on its own, for me to go to/from work each month, is £220. Switched to diesel car 18 months ago, to save on petrol cost. So it's helped, but still huge outgoing for me

How much of the £3K is mortgage/Rent, council tax, loans etc which have to be paid no matter what.... and how much of it is on spending on food, clothes etc. where ther savings can be made?
