    Mine is at most £600 per month- thats rent, gas/electric, cable tv, mobile phone, water and tv licence

    I share a house with one other and we split the bills down the middle. I use his car, he pays the insurance etc on it!

    Our monthly outgoings are roughly £400.. and thats on an expensive month.!!!!

    we do have two cars which we need.

    Diesel on its own, for me to go to/from work each month, is £220. Switched to diesel car 18 months ago, to save on petrol cost. So it's helped, but still huge outgoing for me :(

    How much of the £3K is mortgage/Rent, council tax, loans etc which have to be paid no matter what.... and how much of it is on spending on food, clothes etc. where ther savings can be made?
    My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
