  • Hi Elantan, I opened a H@lifax reward a/c on line and transferred a £1k and back out to see if it worked, when it did Mr T opened one up. The on line system is quite good but I can't remember what sort of information they wanted. I seem to remember it asking why we wanted the account and I said to save for Xmas

The Halifax are changing the rules on this account in May so may not be worth having unless you are using it as your main account..there are aticles on the banking board you may want to look at before deciding.

So I have followed up with my first overpayment with a tidy up if the accounts £1.51 extra to the debt ...

I've read ( for the first time ) a large diary , normally when a diary gets to over 50 or so pages I read a few at the start and then skip to the end as its a lot I reading , well over the last few days I read Tilly's MFW diary and I am so glad I did

I learned many tips but the thing the stuck out for me was the ups and downs... You know the bits where you feel you can take in the world and the bits where you want to chuck it all away and give up ?

I've experienced these highs and lows ( currently having a high) and I have to admit I havn't always been able to pull myself out of the lows ... Especially after we were doing so good then the holiday and car came along to scupper plans ... Reading Tillys diary has helped me learn this is normal it's going to happen ... It's how we deal with it that matters

I've also learned that the power of the diary is MUCH stronger than I have ever believed

So be prepared for more ramblings from me :)

So first ramble ( he he he might as well start as I mean to go on )

Have had a fair but if work hassle this week, had to stay on till 10.30 one morning 9.30 another and late the final day as well due to a few things

I finished yesterday and was meant to be off for 6 nights and believe me I need the break... However latish last night I got a phone call from a sobbing boss there were still problems going on and would I please do two extra night shifts ... It's a hard situation to be in, I want to help my team but I need to spend time with my family de stressing from work ... So I told her I would phone back .. I spoke to hubby and shared my concerns and worries ... After discussing it I decided that if i was going to do it I was going to get some extra money ... So I phoned her back and said yes I will but only for time and a half ...

After discussions it was decided I would do one night for time and a half and have the other night off ... Thus giving me extra money and time with my family ... Then I got a phone call today asking me to come in early because of more stuff so I am going in 2 hours early ... All in all I will work 12 hours and get paid for 18 ... I have 10 hours of overtime booked for the rest of the month ... I may do another night taking my hours up to 38 ... But that will be me for January

So a positive ... I am making sure my worth ( whilst still not fully recognised ) is being more appreciated ... I am helping my team and most importantly I am spending time with my loved ones
