Right, if I don't pay anything into my pension and I get this bonus from work I have heard rumour about, and I get all my overtime due, then .... I think we will manage to pay the bills this month, and buy some Xmas presents, if I can manage to spend less on the presents then I will be happy :)

Not sure what to get mil and fil, son has asked for belts from primark and a change bottle, and a aloe Vera plant ( have not got a clue where I can get one of them this time of year)

So looks like we should make it this month ... Yay :)

Just got a very Bizzare email from quidco saying they have paid money into my account ( it isn't there btw) but its for the exact same amount as I was paid in July by the exact same people, when I clicked in my account using the app the July payment is showing but no December payment, how ever when I manually looked up quidco it is showing a december payment

    Bizzare

I think Dobbies probably have the plant, I have a feeling I saw kits somewhere to grow them from scratch.

Weird about quidco, I'm finding them very slow now though so using TCB more.

Ooh I think I've missed some bits re Taxi (sounds like you need a hug xx) and whatever your Mum posted you El?

We had our heating fixed today - the boiler was fine but we had one leaky radiator and one in the bedroom upstairs wasn't heating up at all (it didn't need bleeding). A plumber came over today and we seem to be back on track again, woo hoo (in time for big problems with the LPG installation and having no fitted working oven now - if it's not one thing in this house, it's another)

Did you choose to change to LPG shortie ?

This time it was just a card, Calender and something else I wouldn't need or want

In a way I can understand why she wants to contact me, and I have asked myself if my son had said what I said how would I react etc ... But honestly I do wish she would give up :)

We have no gas in the village so we're on electric and oil at the mo. We like cooking on gas and brought our range cooker (electric oven, gas hob) with us when we moved. This morning Mr Shortie pulled the kitchen out today for them to call and cancel tomorrow. Problem is the cupboard surround for the old oven broke as it was so naff, and the work surface around it had to be broken to cart it out of the house. They phoned this afternoon to cancel the fitting tomorrow! They did come out in the end late afternoon, but the engineer said the sale guy was wrong about where we could put the bottles and the only place they can now go is MUCH more expensive to fit and he didn't have enough stuff either, so we're now having to phone them back tomorrow to chase it but the prospect of getting the LPG fitted and connected before Christmas is now looking grim :(

Aah, so she's sending you pressies in the post. sorry things aren't great between you (that's the impression I get from how I read it, sorry if I misunderstood..) Things can be fractious with my Mum sometimes, but it's Mr Shortie's Dad that seems to be really pulling out all the stops at the moment - I've had to ask Mr Shortie to have a serious talk with him (again) as they're staying with us for a week over Christmas and I won't take any more rudeness/belittling - I've told Mr Shortie his Dad won't be welcome any more if it carries on (and that's not like me - I'm a peace keeper by nature)

That's a total nightmare situation for you ... Both the gas and the fil :( should you have to pay more though? It's their fault they told you they could fit it in the wrong place not yours

As for the fil you have my sympathies, I used to be the peace keeper years ago but found I was getting stood on so now I am the scary one, I don't get abused anymore and the family ( hubby's ..., I take nothing to do with mine) tend to tread carefully, we get on better for it,

I didn't like having to become the person I had to in order to get respect but it was worth it and I have no regrets :)

The saying you can choose your friends but not your relatives deff has some merit in my life :)

Do you have a back up plan for Incase things arnt sorted for Xmas ?
