I agree with Hypno - think I probably know hypno in the book of the faces places but not sure, wish I was - a better job is better than the s**t you are taking on a daily basis at the moment.

I know a right now job is not necessarily a right job but you don't have to do it all in one step. I should know, I'm not even managing the first one. You are also allowed to have the itch before the next seven years are up!

I think part of the problem El is working nights. it really messes your body clock up, messes everything up really. With your stress at work it really is a magical combination. Stress has a purpose, if you're at work and there's a sabre tooth tiger or mad axeman round the corner stress will help you, if it's about management being c**p and not managing you don't need to wrestle a tiger to the ground and the stress will just fur your arteries including your carotid ones.

The bottom line is we need you out of that job, into a day job and that should help work on the rest. I agree with Taxi on the exercise front, steady as you go.

But i want the right final job for me... Not another oh that'll do till such times and then before i know it such times is seven years later and i am very unhappy :(

Why have you been in this job for seven years? Fear of change? Why are you unwilling to move to another iterim job? Fear of change?

Just reflect that this could turn out to be your 'forever' job if it kills you.

This job wasnt always as bad as it is now ... it used to be really good infact ... but the reason i have stayed here for as long as i have is because i was studying for my H.N.C my S.V.Q3 my H.N.D my hypnotherapy reiki etc ... so night shift was always a great time to study ... it meant that my family time was my family time and in work as long as my work was done i was allowed to study

i did intend on leaving when i left uni ... i left the uni for good in the august /september... that's when hubby started to be unwell acting strange etc .... that took a whole year to get sorted ( he was off for the 7.5 months of it )
when finally he got better ... roughly August last year i started looking for a job and have been ever since

i think my reason for unwilling to have another interm job is the fact that i have had so many interm jobs now ... i am fed up with changing jobs all the time ... i want a job where i get a decent pension decent holidays decent hours of work and decent working rights ... i know that is a big ask in this day and age ... but i dont want to go from the preverbial frying pan into the fire

remember also i work 4 nights then i am off for 7 then i work 3 and then i am off for 7 again ( if i dont do any overtime) so that allows me to have the time to go for interviews etc ...

Just reflect that this could turn out to be your 'forever' job if it kills you. i am not going to let this job kill me ... i walked in tonight and straight away something had happened ... my response ... well i feel sympathy for you there but i suggest you speak to the manager and not me ... i cant and wont help you sorry .. so i am starting to get on top of this ... no doubt once the whole team know i am going to be like this they will eventually ease off and give their problems to someone else

Get out while your health is still only warning you.

i intend on getting out ... i plan on going to days ... i have applied for a post already and spoke to my boss regarding it ... she has informed me she will support my move ( i think she wants rid of me lol)

Glad to hear that you're not getting involved and I hope that you manage to change on to days as at least that will help.

    hi all,

well it's been quite a while since i was last on here and so many things have happened so will give you all a quick run down

i went for all my tests and the results came back inconclusive, but i am being treated as if i have had a stroke, i am now on blood pressure tablets and asprin and have been called into my work as i am now a risk for the company ( will need to see how this pans out)

we have been to Rome and had the first of the holidays for this year, we also booked the second holiday ( the free flights one) we were hoping it would be cheap but it has turned out to be anything but.

our debt has went way way up and our debt payments have virtually stopped while we try and save money for our spending money, we will possibly be a good few thousand extra in debt by the time it is all done ... our spends so far

flights to and from london : nearly £400 ( travelling during the olympics

accomadation in london £175 ( i usually get accomadation near the airport for less than £50 but due to the olympics being on the cheapest i could get was £175

    accomadation in vegas £600
accomadation in the grand canyon £340
    accomadation in death valley £140
    accomadation in yosemite park £310
accomadation in san fran free :)
    accomadation in lake tahoe £325
car hire £295 but that will be going up as we are adding a couple of days onto it

insurance for the holiday £190 ( with me having the t.i.a this has went through the roof ... but atleast i am covered should i need help)

i have still to add spending money onto this but as you can see it is proving to be much more money that we ever thought it would be ..., we wanted to go to china but decided against it as we couldnt afford it ... but i think in hindsight it wouldve been cheaper than going to the u.s.a tbh

so i now am going to go and update my totals which i am not looking forward to but i still intend on completting this challenge in 100 months ... things are just going to be much much tighter
