GREEN - yes (at least equivalent)
    AMBER - DK
    RED - don't think so

Were towels and plant NEEDS or WANTS, planned or impluse? That is one of the areas where Aldi wins, less temptation :)

Anyway - is it chicken slices or breasts?

If breasts, it may be cheaper to buy & cook yourself - to get them lovely & juicy (this sounds awful but works!) - simmer in water for around 10 - 15mins (depending on how thick / big they are) ... I add a stock cube for some extra flavour .... yum!:)

If it's slices - that won't help at all :o:rotfl:

GG the towels were due to me bleeding every day for the past 6 weeks ( not good for my sex life :( ) and I seem to be allergic to the acti pearls so have had to change towels again ... I didn't buy a plant ?

Everything this week was planned... I didn't go off script once, as I say I don't buy the chocolate almonds and dessicated coconut every week but when I'm not buying them I am buying something else in its place that I don't buy every week, if that makes sense

It was the spicy chicken I mentioned above rising, were gonna go down the chicken tikka route for it as it will work out cheaper in the long run

Well today the food shopping went into orbit we spent £62 ( well just less than) and we didn't buy anything that wasn't on the list :(
I really am struggling to get this shopping bill down, I can't think of anything left that we can do, we don't spend any money on treats etc its food and other essentials like ladies products, deodorant and few cleaning things ( I tend to use start drops etc )

    Hmmmm very frustrating

I did a quick Mr T shop last week .. just a few bits : mince, tins (toms etc) peppers & cabbage, chicken, bread, eggs, milk, coffee, and fajita wrap things and frozen chips and I was really quite shocked at how much it came to compared to "normal".

It was almost a third as much as I've paid previously, and most of it was non branded / value items. Worrying as if the basic / own brands continue to increase at the rate they seem to be, there will be many that will struggle to afford food. :(:(

I'm lucky that I've got a few farm shops local to us, and I use them for things like the large sacks of potatoes, onions, etc. Cauli's are a bit more from them, but double the size of supermarket ones. I've recently found an animal feed merchant, so will try them for sacks of carrots (I dont mind that they're odd shapes & sizes hence only "fit" for animal sale!!!) Don't know if you have anything similar nearby, but may be worth checking out ?

We have a smallish Lidl newly opened nearby, but iceland & aldi are a bit further away, as is morrisons & asda and not worth travelling especially to .

This is the thing as well next month we will have our own asda in the local village so we can walk it to the shop, to get to aldi we would need to drive 25 mins roughly there and the same back ... Is it worth it ?

Ive noticed myself that the smart brands are becoming much more expensive, there isn't much between them and the more expensive ones, and if you time it right the more expensive ones can work out cheaper .... Shopping is just a nightmare
