Hey all ,
Here’s a link to my other diary, the start of my 100 month journey, thought i would start my new diary now ( i know its a bit early ... but hey i am excited )

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3071580

quick run down of the situation,
I started this journey 10 months ago and its so far the longest i have ever managed to stick to a challenge (which is surprising J).. hubby was off of work for 5.5 months of the first 10 months of my challenge, and even though that was hard, things couldve been alot worse, we didnt make it to being 10% less in debt but considering that we had less money coming in, we went to Florida and London, i think we did ok ...

The reality that in 90 months time we will be debt free and have savings is starting to kick in, it’s something i have always wanted but never fully believed i would achieve as it seemed such a daunting task, however now that i have this focus and this drive ( and we managed to even manage with hubby being off for 7.5months in total) i am really excited about the future

Where do we stand just now?
Debt to begin £60,041 but went up to £62,450 L
Debt currently: £57,290 total paid off to date £5,160 approx 8% so 2% short (which is not too bad, it could be worse)
Made up of:

Mortgage: £44,845
Student loan £8k (not entirely positive exactly how much this is, and still undecided as to whether to concentrate on paying off, still under discussion really lol)
Visa 1 £2,995
Visa 2 £1,450

Savings to date: £150

So the next ten months:
Well the plans here are to get to 20% less in debt (from the start of the challenge), have at least £1,000 in savings,

How is this going to be achieved?
Well it is going to be basically the same as what I have been doing, any spare money will be thrown at the debt, the savings and fun time ( divided equally by 3) , I will be doing overtime as and when I can, I will continue to try and get a new better paying , better conditions etc job, in March we will try and get a new balance transfer card so that I can pay 0% ( with a transfer fee 0bviously) and get it down as fast as possible
