I'm a firm believer in only cleaning the oven when you are avoiding even worse jobs....like completing my uni work! :rotfl:

woo hoo I can now add cleaning kitchen, 3 loads of washing done, dried and put away or in ironing basket and hoovered all through the flat. ( though hubby did the hoovering as my arms are bit poorly today) and changed the bedding

Just had a lovely bath with the jacuzzi jets on with my little boy and am now chiling in my armchair in a spotless front room. Life can't be bad eh? Plus hubster baked us pancakes for tea yummy :D

  • Flutterby, make sure the fridge is empty and switched off 24hours either side of moving, to let the gas settle. When we moved here, our 18month old fridgefreezer died because we didn't.

    Hi Squeaky,

I know this is very much in a similar if not the same vain as flylady which is why I mentioned it :)

Maybe this thread could be merged in with flylady so as to keep all ideas together :)

Well, I got let off some of my collecting hours as one of the rotarians felt i was doing too much and covered it for me!! Nice chap - I'm afraid I took him up on it. Trying to make up the "absolutely essential jobs I still need to do" for tomorrow. Also, going over the menus for the next several days to ensure all ingredients are in - and also to stop me buying things I'm not planning to use anyway! My Mum always used to make sure that there was salt, candles, matches and loo rolls in - said they were all things we'd miss if they were forgotten!! Oh well, time is definitely ticking now to the big day. Hope you've all achieved what you hoped for this morning!

ETA - whoohoo! I've made the 2000 post and see my status has changed!!
