Good morning, everyone.
It's been chaos round here, as usual. We leave for the ferry back to the UK later this morning, and will be spending two brilliant weeks back there with the family.
I hope you all have the most fantastic Christmas, and a very Happy New Year; may 2012 be a good year for you all. Lots of hugs for all those who are unwell or anxious.
Bye for now!

Morning everyone. Today is my last day of work until the new year and I'm going to Matthew Bourne's Nutcracker tonight. It'll all be great but I'm so tired! I want to go back to sleep
Did lots of cleaning, packing and another wash last night. Tonight will just be a last minute run round the house tidying up. No idea about dinner. I will probably have to freeze the rest of the veg. I've suddenly got more strict about saving everything and in the last few days have made fish stock from a tail and saved all my peels/veg ends- this will be a virtually free soup! Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Morning everyone
Hester - Parcel collected by DHL yesterday for delivery today - used Martin's parcel sending guide, and it was half the cost of the PO. Hope this gives you a welcome distraction from the monotony of housework. Another hater of it here, luckily DH claimed the hoover and duster when we retired
(as a tidy Virgo, think he realised it was the easy option living with an untidy Leo).
Monogram Go to the Techie board here tell them the symptoms, and follow their advice, sure they will help you fix it. I don't think a defrag will do much to solve it either.
nmic go to the makers website for your phone, there will be a pdf file with instructions, they do this now for "paper-saving". We watched the awards too, very humbling. Can see why Military Wives Choir is winning the X-Factor singers, didn't like their song much at all (Loved the choir)
Doelani - Only the 2 of us here for Xmas dinner too, decided on Fillet Steak
. Quick and easy to prepare, not exactly "cheap" but far cheaper than eating out. Often Xmas meals out come with drinks, and unless you can walk to one, someone has to drive, so for us with nothing in walking distance we went for this option.
Lou - Please eat, take vitamin tablets/cod liver oil to help build up your resistance to the bugs around.
Better get back to finishing the knitted hoodie for my youngest GNephew, as want to do him a Balaclava to keep him warm on school runs.
I gave you today's plans on yesterdays post so won't bore you with them again.
((hugs)), Hi-5's, spoons, etc., all round

Hi all
Donny,
Woohoo, a christmas present, I left my housework til today so I will be home all day. I'm glad you managed to find a cheap way of sending it.
Yesterday I went out, determined to buy myself something new to wear, I wear black trousers to work & a series of charity shop tops that get thrown away when they get too stained/damaged at work to wear anymore. I have nothing to wear when going out during the daytime. I had £60 & I vowed I would keep going til I found & bought 1 tidy item of daywear. I hate shopping at the best of times, I love mini skirt as they are usually knee length on me, most current skirts & dresses drag on the floor on me, most of me takes a size 16, but my boobs need a size 18 & I'm short waisted so dresses don't fit me properly unless they are gathered under the bust & then they make me look pregnant. So clothes shopping is fraught with stress, however yesterday I bought 3 dresses, for my DGD who has suddenly decided she want's to wear dresses instead of jeans & 2 teashirts for DGS so he didn't feel left out. Oh well, back to the work clothes for me!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone,
I am up late this morning!
Going out to deliver a few presents this morning and then me and the kids are going round to a friends house for Christmas afternoon tea.
OH finishes work today, he is starting a new job in january and the pay rise will come in handy, I bought him some tins of chocolates to take with him and he forgot them and has had to go out near work and buy some more. We now have 3 tins of Q**lity Str**t, what a pity!
Spent 4 hours yesterday doing the wrapping, why does it always take so long? DD1 helped me by writing all the labels and sticking them on.
Tonight we are eating up all left overs from the fridge for tea so there will be some strange combinations consumed.
Thinking of you today Dazi.
Hugs for Beth, Lou, JackieG and Lamewolf.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0
