  • I complained to RM about First Class a while back and was told that the 1-3 day rule was actually a target and it was "acceptable" for a First Class letter to take up-to 30 days

If they deliver Saturdays why shouldn't it be included!

RM don't class Saturday as a working day, just because you think it should be doesn't mean it is!! So today is the 2nd day with days left until Christmas, jeeze!
If I was you, bearing in mind the time of year i'd count myself lucky to receive it this side of the big day!

is it a letter or a package?
my packages come round later in the day from Royal Mail compared with my letters. In fact I'll praise my postie here - he puts me on his evening delivery at this time of year for parcels because he knows I'm not in to take them during school hours :T.

    cheer for good posties everywhere!!!

My lovely posty Chris told me he was going on leave in mid December as his wife was having a baby
he told me I wouldn't have a regular posty do the route as it was too big- but it would be a seasonal worker.
I'm not casting aspertions at all - but he did say to me
" if you want to make sure you get your parcles for x mas - order them for before I go on leave"

I did so - he delivered them all ( as he always does) and I am VERY happy with the service

I see the postmen/women laden down with heavy bags at this time of year and I do feel for them
it's not the easiest or nicest jobs - yet Chris always turns up with my mail - especially important for me as I do voluntary work for a childrens charity and work from home.

so Merry Christmas to all Royal Mail Staff
  • I purchased 2 ebay items on Sunday, and didnt really expect them untill after Christmas, but both arrived this morning. Big thanks to both ebay sellers and RM.
    We can't find you now
But they're gonna get the money back somehow
    And when you finally disappear
We'll just say that you were never here

Spoke to a few neighbours yesterday and we deduced that none of us had received any post, or seen any walk postmen since Thursday last week. Around lunchtime an avalanche popped through my door, most with postal dates of the 10th/11th December.

Must be incredibly hectic round our way, best of luck to them :)

We have had a parcel delivery, albeit at 6.30pm Monday evening, but no sign of any postie at all. I thought it was just us, did think it was odd as I was expecting a few things, so I asked a few of the neighbours and all said the same.

It's never usually like this, and in fairness our usual postie is off I think and he is a darling. Seems to be back on track today anyway :D

    Parcels aren't in the USO
remember its not the posties but the managers who are failing you
they wont be telling their bosses they are failing the USO
