Royal Mail deliveries

Options
Just wondered if anyone has been having trouble with mail being delivered? I posted something !st class recorded last Friday and it's still not arrived, I've locked the voucher code until I receive confirmation in case it's lost or stolen.
When the postmistress tried to sell me on Special Delivery as opposed to Recorded saying recorded wasn't compensatable I checked and found that it was up to £46 so she was incorrect there, nice try though.

Yes, I am aware of that but I still think it's a long time, even customer services said allow an extra day meaning 3 days and its now been 3 days!

Look carefully at the Terms and Conditions again! Cash, tickets, VOUCHERS and Jewellery are SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED from compensation on Recorded Delivery (Royal Mail Signed For Service is the correct term). These items (classed as valuables!) should be sent by Special Delivery, which travels separately to the normal mail, is tracked in transit and above all is INSURED, as your Postmistress tried to tell you......

I have waited over a week for 1st class recorded / signed for - even when it's not christmas time. Be patient - it will turn up. Eventually.
If you will the end, you must will the means.

Fairy nuff, but wouldn't it be funny if it had been 'lifted', I send one item in a year and even that doesn't get through, how many others I wonder, it wouldn't surprise me if the posties all have ex-customs note sniffing dogs as pets to give their deliveries the once over before each round!;)

no it hasn't friday is the day of posting, which isn't counted, Saturday is not considered a working day where RM are concerned either, so technically its been 2 days counting today

If they deliver Saturdays why shouldn't it be included!
