When I signed at the job centre yesterday I was told I am excused signing on 28th March due to industrial action and payment will be sent automatically.
Me too. I was told that "due to circumstances beyond their control" the JC would be closed on my next signing day so I would be paid automatically. When I asked what the circumstances were he looked shifty and muttered "strike" lol At least he had the decency to be embarrassed.

the only time I've heard of signing by post is if you live too far away from a jc and it would cost too much for you to get there in person.

Your total travel time by public transport to and from the Job Centre must exceed four and half hours before you can be considered for 'signing by post'

Have you agreed to that in writing ?

Have they shown you a written data protection & usage statement for your account, that they have access to your account & are monitoring.

    That sounds seriously illegal.
i dont know whether the forms i signed when i started cover it or not.

You are missing the point here surely. Its ok to strike when they are 2.67 million out of work!? I say NO ITS NOT! They as a JOB CENTRE should be ashamed of themselves!
