yeah same thing mate, wp, daily sighning, before it would have just been sit in a room doing jobsearch 9-5 daily, instead of work programme, im just saying this is better than that, wp and daily sihgning is better than that
sorry I am talking about the WP and it was said here that people went 5 days a week there to do a job search

The WP is better than what? Am I missing something?

i think when people talk about all day 5 days a week they may well be thinking of the old new deal where you had to do a minimum of 30 hours. around here you would be on placement for 4 days and only do one day in a centre but i believe in many places people spent all week in a centre.

I have never heard of the new deal as never out of work till now so had no idea what they were on abut since I was talking about who here has done 5 days a week at the WP

No one can do 5 days a week at the JC like we have said many times there is no room there

yeah i didnt ever do it, but i heard about it, i suppose the best way to imagine it would be like going to the work programme like you do now but instead of in and out, you stay till 9-5 every day, the daily sighning is in and out as well. but every day thats all im saying

im not really sure where they did it before but i dont think the places were much bigger than the one i went to for the work programme, not sure how many people went neither, but i know i would hate it how about you? 9-5 jobsearch, everyday, that would make me suicidal, allmost

there was a programme on tv about it and all they did was sit there doing nothing all day every day, its why im not complaining to much as 5 mins 10 mins in the jobcentre every day is fine by me, the work programme wasnt much differnt for me, i went in, then most the time they wernt there or had canceled it without telling me of course, and when they did keep to the apponntment it was in and out, so my experience with the work programme was good as they left me the hell alone, wich is what i want

lets be honest you dont exactly need any help doing jobsearch do we? its pretty simple, just apply and thats it, writing a cv isnt hard its all comon scense

Well I finished the WP last week, final appointment mainly consisted of my 'adviser' bleating on about her alcoholic neighbour who kept her up all night!

I officially finished on the 3rd July and I don't have an appointment to see my job centre adviser till the 17th..so much for having something in place within days. I live semi rurally and it's a 10 mile/2 hour round trip to the job centre so I hope I don't have to go everyday.

keep us updated mate as id be interested to see if they make you go everyday like i do, she said to me everyone does, no exceptions, they will be for travel. does anyone know were we can have a look at the rules, i want to make sure the jobcentre are sticking to the official rules if you know what i mean

if they have everyone in everyday claiming travel their costs will sky rocket. i bet they will stop it within a month or 2.
