If he started the WP then the 2 year period is a 2 year period-it doesn't reset. He should now return to the jobcentre as a WP completer and will probably fall under the jobcentre 'business as usual' programe and not their ' mandatory intensive regime' as he has recent work experience.
What is the WP intensive regime?

WP completers either return to the JCP under 2 schemes-'business as usual' for customers with recent with experience or intensive regime, meaning weekly signing as a minimum or even more frequent i.e. daily signing, a stricter jobseekers agreement re-written and staff enforcing it and referring for DMA where appropriate and a general tightening up of enforcing the JSA regime.
Also referring claimants to a mandatory training course or work placement straight away at the 1st meeting.

I don't think everyone here who had gone back to the JC have been sent on a training course or WORK placement

I will of course ask for maths and English training if they want to be 'funny' with me.

How about staff enforcing employers to give interviews to the unemployed..................oh no that's right they cant just like the WP cant hence why there are still so many without jobs.

You need to ask the JCP if you can join their sector based work academy scheme then u r guarenteed a job interview, so in answer to ur question yes the JCP can enforce employers to give job interviews via the SBWA route.

I doubt they have anything in hospitality accounts - I know the WP have nothing and no contacts so how would the JC?

Also why sector? Surely it should be job function!

I can assure you SBWA's are running in all JCP offices as all offices have targets for filling them .U need to ask who ur adviser is when u next sign on with ur adviser assistant. All JCP claimants have to be assigned to an adviser.

I have not had an 'advisor' since I started the WP - see a different person each time I sign on and today was there 32 seconds!
