The JC told me that my provider did have an office in my own town but the provider didn't mention that or offer it as an alternative, they just gave me the 'nearest' two..
there are 2 providers here one in the town i live in and one in a neighbouring town. regardless of which town you live in which provider you get sent to is decided randomly. as a result there are people making more costly and longer journeys than they should need to.
  • hi,

I've been reading the forum for a while now, only just signed up.

I'm applying for loads of jobs each week, 20 plus and I'm ready to start my second year of my work programe with tcv (was btcv) and I'm a little worried about what's going to happen...any one shed any light on this?

    thanks

are you in the north east by any chance?

I'm about to start my second year of the WP (though currently not signing on) so I'd be interested to know what happens in the second year. I suspect the same as the first year, not a lot.

going into your second year does not mean anything different will happen. mine keeps talking about getting tougher but what that exactly means i dont know and its nothing to do with how long i have been with them. i think they have poor job figures and are just resorting to the fear tactic thinking that will get people into work. it just shows how clueless they are. i just sit there looking at mine thinking keep threatening me and you wont see a penny of your bonus when i get a job.

called my provider today twice and sent one email and they first said my adviser was in on the 3rd then when I said I have an out of office email that says different they then went er well erm I don't know and then said they woukd check with the manger who wait for it................also has no idea! So they have said come in on the 3rd anyway and if he is not there I will be seen first come first served.

This is a total vote of no confidence in anything that they do since they did book me in for the 25th December originally and it was after I emailed in 5 times I was told my next appt was the 3rd.

I have already complained about them before and the area manager asked me not to take it further but this time if he is not there on the 3rd and I bet he is not I will lodge a fomal complaint!

They could not organise a !!!! up in a brewery!

JCP advisers were told originally that after 18 months of WP being in existence, they could decide themselves which WP provider to send customers to (it's currently decided by computer).

Still waiting for news on that...

i am hating my current provider so much at the moment that i would gladly give the other provider in the neighbouring town a go. my adviser is mental. one minute they can be really nice and then suddenly they are being a total tw*t for no reason. whether being nice or not 99% of what they say is total bo**ocks.

I am due to start the JP this month. No idea what to expect, or what more is expected of me.
I am looking, applying, but too many people after the same vacancies.

well, my advisor is getting rather cheeky. He told me my next appt. will be a phone interview, at 8.45am, providing I was out of bed at that time
I asked why did I have to still attend even though I'm on ESA. It's rules apparently, and even if I do get a job, within the 2 year WP frame, I'll still have to attend....yeah right!!
And I wish they'd stop it with the warehousing suggestions. When a doctor tells you NO!! you listen to the doctor, not a pen pusher.
