Hello, just thought I would share my experience with the WP so far.

I have been on the Work Programme since the 3rd of March, on my first day I had a conflict with one of the advisors when I questioned him about the Data Consent Form, his attitide completely changed when I did this and got worse when I refused to sign, had to go back in the following day to finish paper work and when the same guy asked for my CV I told him you can look at it but your not keeping it his attitiude changed again. When I got assigned with a personal advisor she questioned me on why I never signed the consent forms I told her I didnt have to explain her attitide changed too and she said she is going to get me in once a week to do an hours job search. I have been attending every week doing my hours job search and filling in the job search sheet, I was left to it basically only talking to my advisor when the hour was up and she was arranging my bext appointment. On my last appointment she asked if I had given her my CV when I told her no and I have no intention of doing so she said she needed it for her file asap, by this time my hour was up and I told her I had to go. The next morning I recieved a text message from her sayin "send me your CV asap or you will be attending CV workshop tomorrow" I took this as a threat and texted back stating that I wanted why she needed my CV and what she intended to do with it in writing, next thing she calls me with an agressive unprofessional tone and when I said I wanted her intention and need for my CV in writing she said "who do you think your talking to?" but never once answered my request to have what i asked in writing, she then said she is going to get me in everyday 9-5, 7 days a week to job search and if I dont come in she will stop my money then hung up on me, sounds like another threat to me. I went to JCP for some advice and they said take it up with the main office, I will be ringing them first thing in the morning. I think the way I have been treated and threatened is bang out of order, I have 4 kids and by threatening to stop my money over my CV, something that is my decision to hand it over or not is ridiculous.

They are open 7 days a week? LOL I bet they aren't!

I think you can hand in your CV but they are not allowed to to send it to anyone unless you sign the form and you do not have to sign it. Anyway do you really think they have the time to send CV's to companies and look for work for people? I can tell you that they have no time to do this.

    My mistake I ment 5.

You can hand your CV in if you want to but its not mandatory to do so, I never signed the data consent form so therefore they have no need to obtain a copy of my CV. They know this hence her complete ignorance to give me her intentions and need for my CV in writing and knowing that not giving a CV is a non-santionable they are trying to bully me by having the me go in all week stating that if I dont go my benefits will stop. There is no point in going in 5 days a week from 9 till 5 other than to !!!! me off. I feel they have had a grudge against me since the first day when I refused to sign the consent form.

my WP have a copy of my cv. I asked a couple of weeks ago if they had actually sent it to anyone and the advisor blushed and said no we don't have time to do that.

I'm now on their disability "list" because I'm type 2 diabetic. I haven't signed anything extra yet and I bloody well won't be doing so because I think they can get more money for getting someone with a disability a job.

They can't send it to anyone you haven't already sent it to which defeats the object of what they think they can do for 'us'.

Tell them you're making a formal complaint & are being victimised for not signing consent form, which you are perfectly entitled to do.

Then tell them you'll take your complaint to the Independent Examiner if they don't stop victimising you.

A lot of these advisors are cowboys, that's why they & these private companies are used.
You have to put in a formal complaint to the provider first then if you are not happy you then put one into the ICE as per the info the JC should have give everyone when they were refered.

If the ICE upholds your complaint the WP provider gets FINED!!!

You should speak to the manager & tell them what this advisor has said & threatened you with.

If it continues, tell them you're making a formal complaint & are being victimised for not signing consent form, which you are perfectly entitled to do.

Then tell them you'll take your complaint to the Independent Examiner if they don't stop victimising you.

A lot of these advisors are cowboys, that's why they & these private companies are used.

If you have a little hitler like this, you need to complain so it's on the advisor's record & their job is on the line.

Formal complaints, the advisor & company don't want them.
