You need to explain further. If it falls on your day off then why are you working?

If you work on your day off then you should be entitled to another day off instead, regardless of the annual leave cycle. Presumably it's voluntary so ask your employer what day off you get instead - or suggest one.

You should be allowed to carry them over as there is no time for you to take them before the years end...

Why? This isn't extra annual leave. It's time off in lieu and that has no time limits on it other than those the employer puts on it. So if you work on your days off then you should get those days back somewhere else - nothing at all to do with annual leave years.

As mentioned before you need to lay the facts out clearly and concisely and give a lot more information.

In a seven day week you work for five and have two days off. For you, these rest days are Sunday and Monday. Next week you have been told you have to work Sunday and Monday, yes?

    So here are my questions:
Were you told you must work these days or was it voluntary?
Which days are you having off that week instead?
Are you getting paid extra for these days?

Your question has nothing to do with holidays or annual leave. You have simply had your rest days moved, which presumably your employer will be perfectly entitled to do.
  • In a seven day week I work Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday & Monday are my normal days off. Xmas day and Boxing day are Sunday Monday.
I am working Boxing day and New Years Day.

Boxing Day I have been given another day off.

    Thanks for you help
  • That's nice dear.

    What's the question/issue/problem?

What have you already done to try and resolve this problem?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

    Doubt it

I feel I will loose out on statutory days off

Have you asked your manager when is the best time for you to take this extra day off in lieu of working on this extra day or whether it is being paid as overtime?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
